I initially rated this 5 stars but I am removing it. After a couple months literally two months it started to get stuck, like there was a problem with the motor or something. Then I noticed a burning smell but could not quite figure out what it was. I just oh so happened to look at the projector and the wires were burning up. At any given moment it could have caught fire in my baby room. I used this every night and it did good for a while. I would avoid this product. Never will I but from this company again. The film and everything smelled of fire, burning just waiting to happen. My niece had the same one and I told her mom to throw it out and she confirmed hers was doing the same thing.     • FINALLY...A LIGHT THAT ROTATES QUIETLY!!
My simple goal with this review is to save the "Rotating starlight projector" shoppers out there a lot of time and anxiety. BUY THIS ONE. Not the other ones....THIS ONE. I did the legwork for you...I purchased 4 of the other top rated lights and returned each of them promptly for one of two primary reasons: 1) the stars were not bright and crisp (but rather muted and fuzzy), or 2) And most importantly...the others made an unacceptable grinding noise as the the motor rotated the lights. For me this was a deal breaker. The whole idea of a night light, in my opinion, is to provide a soothing ambience. The grinding noise the others made spoiled the whole vibe. After almost giving up, I decided to try the more expensive of the lot and it turned out to be a "get what you pay for" proposition. This light has it all: Crisp lights, many color variations, timer, remote, music with a surprisingly good selection of fall-asleep-lullaby-music, and a slot to add your own music as well! And above all....IT ROTATES QUIETLY. Ahhhh. My 2.5 year old and I now have a lay on the ground and count the stars pre-bedtime ritual that is lovely and I cherish. One caveat...after a few months (past the return window) period of time, the light actually did start developing a slight noise when rotating. I wrote to the seller and had a new one delivered within 2 days. Kudos. I'm hoping this one goes the noiseless distance. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Out of all of my sons gifts he received for Christmas this is a definite favorite! We all (my husband, me and our son) LOVE this little thing! And it’s been pretty sturdy haha my son can change the colors and sounds himself already and when he comes into our room in the morning he brings it with him. It’s even made bed time a bit easier! The media could not be loaded. We are absolutely in love with this night 🌙light! I can't believe how bright it is and how it covers my little girl's entire room with stars! I love that I can set the timer up to 16 hours to leave on all night. We are used to the noise and others would turn of after 3 hours, terrible, my daughter would immediately wake up⏰. I bought this to replace the star night light we had left at my moms by accident. I wasn't expecting much but got more than I expected with this. I love that it functions as a starlight projector and night light with different levels of brightness and noise machine. I like that you can record a sound and use it with the sd slot. The noise level of it gets very loud which is great to drown out all things. However, what I like most of all is that the plastic part is DURABLE. It is hard plastic. Not bendable or dentable - so it can't easily be crushed like the previous one we had. And for a mom of 2 handsy toddlers I appreciate this more than the features. We have a noise machine we prefer to this one but it has some peaceful sounds. The ONLY change I wish and hope to be notified of at any point is, I wish they'd make one in BLACK so I can purchase it for my son's room. He has a cheap one like our daughter's previous one and I want to replace it badly. It is crushed. But the color options don't match his room and I'm particular about that. So makers let me know if you ever end up making one in black and I'll happily be your first purchase of the new color option! ... show more

So, I was so excited to try it out when it came, but the remote isn't working. I'm assuming it's the remote because when I press the buttons, the LED doesn't light up. I'm hoping it is the battery. I'll replace it with a new one tomorrow and see what happens. If not, I'm sending it back. Update: put in a good battery, it works. I wish there was an option to turn off the lights and just keep the music on. Other than that, I like it. The volume can be adjusted very low. I haven't tried the micro card yet. ... show more

The first one was delivered broken and the second Amazon sent to the wrong address. The rotating feature was not working correctly and would get stuck and start clicking over and over still trying to turn even though it couldn't. I ended up order a different brand like it but that one after a few months stopped working all together. This type of night light does not last. I also find the light a little too bright for a child to actually be relaxed to sleep. ... show more

    • It Works to keep little ones in their bed at night!
I am a tired working mom who will try anything to get my 2 year old to sleep in his own room at night. It has been a nightmare because he wakes up 3-4x every night and comes into our room crying and trying to get in our bed. I decided to try this based on the reviews and I absolutely love that it has a remote control that I can use to manage the machine from afar. This is not a miracle but it is the ONLY thing that has worked to keep him calm and get him to fall back asleep when I take him to his bed. He still tries 2x a night to come into our room but I quickly take him back to his bed and show him all the “pretty stars” and he goes right back to sleep. The music is relaxing and I love that I can adjust the volume. I love everything about this - the pretty interchangeable stars, the ability to make the stars rotate, the timers, the remote control, the adjustable night light - wow they thought of everything! I also received a lovely note from Grace with Yachance in the package and I really appreciated the extra effort put in to make sure I am satisfied. Highly recommend! ... show more
