It's a solid level. It's made of a pretty thick metal, so it should be able to shrug off any drops well. It can change angles, and it has detents for each of the angles shown. But it has to be fully extended for that to work. The pencil is super convenient, easy to sharpen and I like that there's so many extra refills. One thing to note, if you're using it with the level to scribe a line, make sure the lead doesn't come too far out the bottom. Running it over a vaguely rough surface will break the lead.

This precision metal edge appears to be a quality product. It came with a handy pencil and two boxes of lead. The "T" portion had to be turned from vertical to horizontal and tightened down with the thumb screw. I appreciated the length and the marking guide. However, for me, the drawback came from the T itself. It seemed to have a slight wiggle when placing on the wood. I tried tightening the thumb screw some more but it still didn't quite feel stable. Using another square, I checked for accuracy and found it to be correct. I didn't want to double my work during projects, so I returned the product. It was probably me, but I have to have tools around I can trust and depend on. This is one that didn't make that list.

Product is exactly as described and portrayed in the video. Marking for joinery is exceptionally easy to use and accurate with the different color leads for various wood varieties simply brilliant. If you've ever tried to mark Walnut with an ordinary lead pencil you will appreciate the different colors that are visible on the darker wood and even the grains on oak. Would love to see more woodworking products made by Nicpro.

This is a well made tool. It has good weight to it. Not thin and flimsy. It is good for making accurate, repeatable measurements and markings. It swivels so that any angle may be used and has a locking sliding index tab that a pencil or other scribing device may be inserted to mark your measurement. You slide the tab to whatever measurement you are using, screw it down by twisting it to lock it in place and then insert your pencil to make your mark , be it a single point, line etc. Very easy to make repeated measurements.

It looks nice, but its not quite what's advertised. The T square does its job, but the slide in the middle of it doesn't work all that well. The mechanical pencil I thought at first was up to stuff, but after using it, found it lacking. You have to hold it too far back. It makes it clumsy to use. I can use them both but, as I said, it's really asking.

Well made but not well thought out. Locking into a position is difficult and frustrating. The engineers should have tried this under normal conditions not ideal laboratory environments. But when you get it set it works beautifully.
