Overall, I am very happy with this stereo. Compared to the cheapest ~ $50 units with CarPlay, this one is a lot smoother since it has ~ 2-3x faster CPU. And compared to the much more expensive > $200 models, it's a much better deal. Plus it fit perfectly into a Toyota Sienna 2006 with proper brackets and adapters. HOWEVER, there are 8 flaws that can easily be fixed by the manufacturer to make it a MUCH BETTER PRODUCT: 1. The screen is not IPS so it shows different colors when you look at it from Driver vs Passenger sides. The $50 models actually had IPS screens, although they had lower resolutions. The difference in the cost of this unit would only be ~ $5 with an IPS panel this size. 2. The power capacitors are not large enough. This causes weird screen flickering when you use CarPlay. Likely because of CPU taking variable power. Adding extra capacitors in parallel fixes that issue. See pictures. Manufacturer could increase capacitor sizes. 3. The CPU does not have adequate cooling. So when you use Google Maps and play videos with sound in parallel, CPU will freeze every ~ 30 minutes. There is a watchdog designed which will restart the CPU after it's frozen for 1-2 minutes. This issue got a lot better after I attached a massive aluminum heatsink to connect the CPU with the actual case for better heat dissipation. Manufacturer could do a better cooling. Ideally a small fan. 4. That stereo sometimes gets stuck in "rear camera" mode when you switch the gear from Parking to Drive through Reverse. IDEALLY, the manufacturer should put a ~ 1-2 sec delay to switch to the Rear camera when it detects the Rear signal. I had to design a circuit for that and the issue was completely solved. 5. This stereo should ideally stay on between the time you turn Ignition on and start the car. I also had to design a circuit to compensate for that issue and the stereo became much more usable. 6. In many cases connecting an iPhone does not show it right away. You have to wait for ~ 30 sec for that stereo to power the iPhone off and then back on. Other, $50 stereos would do this quicker in ~ 1-2 sec intervals. Doing this would make it more responsive. 7. Sound volume from the Radio is MUCH LOUDER than the sound from the iPhone and the sound from Voice Calls is MUCH QUETER than music. It should be in reverse: 1) Voice Calls should be ~ 4x louder than they are now, 2) Music from iPhone can stay the same 3) Music from the radio should be ~ 2-4x quieter. Otherwise if you listen to music on a normal volume and a call comes in, you have to increase volume all the way, and then when you disconnect the phone, Radio blasts insanely loud. 8. External Microphone is EXTREMELY QUIET. I had to design an amplifier to get it to ~ 2-3x amplification, and then it started working OK. Luckily I had enough room in the upper dash to put the microphone and all the circuitry closeby with a separate jack going to the stereo. Many cars may not have the room. Overall, the time it took to design all the "workaround circuits" and add all the "workaround components was quite large. Would be much nicer if the manufacturer actually fixed all these flaws natively. ... show more

3.5 stars - it does what it says it does really really well, especially for the price. No complaints there. But what made it very clear that it is a "cheap, no-name brand" product is the backlighting. Installed it during the day, ran it, it was perfect. Screen nice and visible in broad daylight. Everything was great until night time, when I clicked on the "night time" mode for the backlight. The dimmed backlight was way too dark. Let's say it was like 9%, when it should be at least 30%. The backlight is not adjustable; you get only super bright or super dark, neither of which is great for night time driving. The "brightness" is adjustable in the settings, but it only changes the brightness in the picture, not the backlight. And just like any "brightness" adjustments on photo editing software, all it does is makes images look more washed out. What's worse is that there is no way to change the "theme / background" of the unit, to at least put a light background in night mode. When you buy a no-name brand device, you forfeit some expectations, such as menu design, hardware speed and quality; however, none of the corners that are being cut - in this case, adjustable backlighting - should render the unit practically useless. This backlight issue makes the unit almost unusable at night. If it hadn't been for already having installed the unit, altering the wiring harness, and having thrown away the packaging, I would consider return the unit. Only other reason I am keeping the unit is because all of these no-name units are pretty much the same and I'm not willing to spend 2x, 3x more on a brand name. ... show more

The good. It's cheap, the Bluetooth is good enough, it has actual tactile buttons rather than all touch screen. The bad. It's not android, it's windows ce, so no android auto. You can screen mirror, bit you need to install a Chinese app on your phone (not gonna happen) It serves its purpose to provide Bluetooth music in my older truck. ... show more

Works well for the price but the antenna is not compatible with stock wiring. Also did not come with screws so I spend my night down at Home Depot trying to find some. Kinda ridiculous. Overall I got it installed and it works well for $80

100% worst wiring diagram iv ever seen like wtf if its a wire for the back up canma label it as such and if its for wheel remote say that. This product didn't fit my car even though it gave me a fit your car answer it was to big and didn't include gap caps for the exposed sides of the frame. It also felt very cheap not a high quality product
