I bought this unit to replace a 24,000 BTU unit that had given us years of good service but was icing under use and dripping water on our floor. I decided to replace it rather than chase the R22 pressures and whatever other issues were going on. I bought this 18,000 BTU unit hoping it would be enough to replace the more powerful previous unit. It came quickly and was well packaged. Everything on this unit was well packaged, the directions were clear, and all wiring marked and terminated. I was a little concerned because the components were quite a bit lighter than the old unit. As it turns out, this was a huge advantage when trying to wrestle the inside unit into place and the outside unit was much easier to put in place. (I did it all myself). The template for the inside was perfect and all went together really well. The unit fired up perfectly first start and seems to put out as much cold air as the old one, there is no icing and the water flows out the back drain tube like it is supposed to. The unit is quiet and has plenty of power to cool the house. Bottom line is this seems to be a good quality mini split that is straightforward to install. Straightforward, that is, if you have at least reasonable mechanical, plumbing, and electrical knowledge. This is a great unit at a great price. Update - it's been a few months now and this unit has performed flawlessly. It's in heat pump mode now and keeps the house warm. It is amazing how quickly it warms the room up. I couldn't be more pleased, absolutely no issues and I highly recommend. Update 12/21/25 Unit continues to run flawlessly and it is in heat mode and runs 18 hours a day. Quiet and powerful. I had to get screws for the internal parts because it was missing the electrical connection screws. It did not deliver on time, it took 4 days instead next day shipping despite what was advertised. The protective screen around the fins on the outside unit is a really cheap piece of plastic netting, not even a solid deterrent. All in all really cheaply made but not the cheapest price and it really should have been cheaper ... show more

I gave this a five due to not sure of temperature readings. It came well packaged with fairly good instructions. Print could be a little bigger. You could hook up lines and go but elected to bring in an a/c guy as my lines had to be shortened due to location on my units. a/c blows cold, and swing works well. I also had to bring in an electrician as it has to be hooked up to 220V. The only thing I haven't been able to quite figure out is if this unit has a temp sensor that shuts off when temp gets to desired setting. Overall, I'm quite happy with this unit. ... show more

We are diy'ers but not pros and this unit was very easy to install. We bought a vacuum pump for $100 to save the cost of having a pro come and pressure test it. Our temps reached -4 last night and it stayed warm. Came with a couple of dents but the sellers gave us some money off and an extra remote control in case we lost ours as it is the only way to control the unit. Highly recommend. ... show more

condencer unit came with hole in bottom of box, outside unit had missing and loose screws on chassis, installed unit worked on cold air for about 20 minutes ,switched to heat mode work for approx 18 minutes , then showed code EO , all lines at neg 50 vacume on install, and no leaks after sitting several hours, shut unit down ,reset breakers and attemped restart 10 times ,inside fan blows, just air, outside uniit does not blow fan, after restarts 2 or 3 minutes goe s into E o code,, please help. this is a very exspensive in door fan that blows, no hot or cold air at this point. After in good faith to contact seller, seller wanted me to trouble shoot more and posably install new parts, I desided to request return of units, that was granted, but the kicker is i should arrange company to pick it up and pay for it Too, Very unacceptable, a review to continue as a Preferd customer waiting for full refund and seller to arrange pick up return. sept 4th 2025 sellar has agreed to send prepaid returnshipping labels, a issue full refund , still waiting for refund. comunication was slow i felt only being to get a returned message every 24 hours luborious over 10 days so once i get the refund i may upgrade the stars more. ... show more
