Well made unit, reliable, unbeatable price

I bought this unit to replace a 24,000 BTU unit that had given us years of good service but was icing under use and dripping water on our floor. I decided to replace it rather than chase the R22 pressures and whatever other issues were going on. I bought this 18,000 BTU unit hoping it would be enough to replace the more powerful previous unit. It came quickly and was well packaged. Everything on this unit was well packaged, the directions were clear, and all wiring marked and terminated. I was a little concerned because the components were quite a bit lighter than the old unit. As it turns out, this was a huge advantage when trying to wrestle the inside unit into place and the outside unit was much easier to put in place. (I did it all myself). The template for the inside was perfect and all went together really well. The unit fired up perfectly first start and seems to put out as much cold air as the old one, there is no icing and the water flows out the back drain tube like it is supposed to. The unit is quiet and has plenty of power to cool the house. Bottom line is this seems to be a good quality mini split that is straightforward to install. Straightforward, that is, if you have at least reasonable mechanical, plumbing, and electrical knowledge. This is a great unit at a great price. Update - it's been a few months now and this unit has performed flawlessly. It's in heat pump mode now and keeps the house warm. It is amazing how quickly it warms the room up. I couldn't be more pleased, absolutely no issues and I highly recommend. Update 12/21/25 Unit continues to run flawlessly and it is in heat mode and runs 18 hours a day. Quiet and powerful. I am impressed. Update 9/26/2026 This unit continues to impress, it runs every day and cools perfectly all summer after heating nicely last winter. Absolutely zero trouble and it is working every day. I really didn't expect such a good unit at this price. I am about to purchase another one after once again another one of my earlier, different brand, and much higher priced mini split has gone down. At this price point my patience trying to fix the old one just seems like a waste of time.

Blows out cold 54 degree air and good price

Installed at two of my rentals properties. Both 800 square feet and cools them down real good. If you put the AC on the lowest setting which i believe is either 61 or 60 the air blows out at 54 degrees. Technician took 4 hours to install them. Copper lines are about 10ft so not a lot of slack to have the heat pump thats outside away from the head unit inside. The heat pump is extremely quiet so you can have it outside your window if needed without issue. I also ordered some mounting brackets for the condenser so it can be mounted on the wall. EDIT: 30 days after install and both units are working great. One unit shortly after install had a leak from the head unit inside the home but it was an easy fix. The drain hose clip wasn’t clipped in all the way so it was letting water leak from the unit into the home instead of outside. It was an easy fix and took less than a minute to just make sure the hose was clipped in securely. So far so good. Will keep updating every few months to give future buyers an idea on how long they last.

DIY homeowner installer approved - tested over the summer 100+ degree heat

Purchased 5/20/2026 review posted 9/24/2026 4 months for evaluation. This unit was installed in our 12x20 (minimally insulated and poorly constructed) shed. It has managed to keep the shed cool despite 100+ degree outdoor temperatures this summer. At the peak of the heat the unit was able to keep the shed 75 degrees which I find to be perfectly acceptable considering the state of the shed. The unit is quiet. The problem I find is that it seems to disregard its thermostat and instead runs all the time (in eco mode at least). Perhaps this is a setting that I am still not using properly but I would expect that if I set it to 75 then when I walk into the shed in the morning the thermometer should read 75 but it is being cooled down to 60s making it downright frosty but wasting electricity. All in all it performs well enough for my purposes. Heating function has been tested minimally as it was installed at the end of May but does seem to function. Note to DIY installer, special tools required you will need a vacuum pump, and torque wrench at minimum for proper installation.

Great buy!!

I bought this back in June, but didn’t install it in my new shop until Sept. The install wasn’t bad at all I do fill the directions could be worked on some. When hooking the lines together you will hear a hiss sound from pressure releasing from the line up buy the head. Got it running and it turned the shop at 750 plus sqft as I have vaulted ceiling into an ice box very quickly! So far so good. It sets at 77 right now and I live in the south. Very quiet when it’s running is one of the best parts.

Quit after 3 weeks and there isn't anyone to contact about it.

It arrived, had pro install it 2-3 weeks later. Worked great for 3 weeks. Now it doesn't cool. I can't return through Amazon and these people have no website or phone number I can find. Choose a different one.

Much battery window ACs!

I live in an old 1950s house with no ductwork, and my bedroom turned into an oven every summer. Window ACs were loud, ugly, and blocked my whole window. I took the leap and bought this split system, hired a local HVAC guy to install it. Man, what a game-changer! The indoor unit is so so so quiet I barely hear it while sleeping. It was 102°F outside, and this room stayed a steady 72°F all night. It also heats in winter, so no more space heater. Worth every penny for us.

Price and easy installation

To me it was easy to do the installation because prior to buying it I already had a predetermined location and I had already ran the electrical box to the location, as far as performance it’s working wonderfully.

Works good but was defective

when installed it leaked inside the house.. installer was able to fix it was a manufacturer defect but i didn’t want to pay to remove and pay to reinstall so called Amazon and was given credit for the repair cost.
