    • Spirit Wolf is Perfect with Low Price
LOVE this headset! I can't really comment on how they do for gaming because I bought them for work. Some of the reviews made me a bit nervous, so I just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Turned out to be perfect! NOISE CANCELLING - Pretty decent, at least when you have something playing or someone talking. But if you just put them on with no audio going, doesn't hardly do anything. I know, because I tried. MICROPHONE - I teach and had to buy these for virtual teaching purposes. According to the kids, they can hear me just fine. Mic stays out of the way when the arm is down, but beware - once you flip it up into closed mode, they can't hear you! Or at least it comes out as a muffled mess. VOLUME - So I may just be sensitive, but to me the headphone part gets super loud for anything other than voice chat. When I have videos playing for background noise to block out the sounds of my coworkers, usually I have the volume turned down to about 4 (using the little attached volume control). AUDIO BUTTON - This is one of the few things that can be annoying. I've learned that the little audio buttons are SUPER sensitive and if it bumps against your arm, it can adjust the volume or mute the mic pretty much on its own. There is a little glowing light that turns on when you're muted, BUT you have to be paying attention to see it in a room with lights. COMFORT - To me, the Spirit Wolf is super comfy. At work I've had to wear these for hours at a time, and unlike past experiences with headphones and headsets, did NOT get a headache or ear pain. Feels surprisingly lightweight given the size. APPEARANCE - Obviously I didn't want a headset with a bright distracting glow, so the glowing wolf made me a little hesitant. Nothing to worry about in reality! The glowing wolves are subtle, and if you aren't sitting in the dark, barely noticeable. Plus I thought they were super cute all lit up. DURABILITY - I've had these for a few months now and they survived a lot of travel crammed in a laptop bag. While they don't fold up for storage, I've not had any wear and tear issues so far. OVERALL - GREAT price, perfect if you're on a budget! Seem durable and built to last. Audio is good if sometimes loud. Mic works great. Aesthetically pretty cool looking, especially if you love wolves (the name and logo are partly why I decided to give the Spirit Wolf a chance). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ... show more

    • Great sound, but poor finish quality
Had these now for 3 months and the left side has already cracked on the head band right above the speaker. Great sound quality, bass hits hard and the vocals are really clear. They do noise cancel pretty good. Would have given 5 stars if they didn't break after 3 months.

    • I Forgot the Downside of USB Headsets
I've had these headphones for about a week now, so I've had some time to get accustomed and try them out. There's good and bad. The good is that they're very comfortable. I've had other headphones that clamp down on my ears until I get a migraine or until my jaw hurts or until some hellish combination befalls me. These rest comfortably over my ears and I can forget that they there (the headphones, not my ears). Another plus is that the noise isolation is very good, allowing me to type without hearing all the annoying things in life--dogs wrestling, spouse yelling at dogs, dogs barking at spouse, me yelling at everybody, the cops arriving to tell us all to knock it the heck off and be quiet--my life's now a lot saner. The sound quality is also very good and it's well balanced. I understand from my gaming partners that the microphone works well, too. That's a plus since my last headphones had the mic quality of tin cans on a string. The downside? I didn't do my research, which is my fault, I know and I'll own that this is my fault. Since these work through the USB port, the system reads the headphones as a speaker. And what should speakers be? Loud. Because what don't we do with speakers? Put them on our ears. So I have to keep the volume down to 1% on Window's Volume Mixer and it's still louder than I prefer. Yes, the volume control on the cord works, but it goes from loud to good-lord-a'mighty-blood-is-dripping-from-my-ears. But I don't think that's the fault of the headset, per se. What is the fault of the headset is that the CD with the drivers doesn't fully work. Yes, it installed the headphones, but it doesn't bring up the options to adjust the settings. When I click on the Sades icon, I get a message that no information can be found. I've tried re-installing the drivers to the same result. But I have a paper user guide that says I should be able to adjust the settings by clicking that icon. But alas! I cannot. The dream can only be partially realized. Still, this is a great gaming headset. In my MMORPG, I can customize the game's sounds, so then I don't have the problem with the headset being too loud. For my regular music listening, I just stick to an old set of headphones that have a jack. ... show more
