We use this to control our landscape lighting so it turns on at dusk and off at dawn and it works flawlessly. My only complaint is that most outdoor outlets that I have seen where I live are placed horizontally and within a weatherproof housing, so the only placement for this smart plug blocks the other outlet. At least it has two outlets on it, but I would like to have access to the other outlet in my wall as well. ... show more

First smart plug I’ve owned that’s made specifically for outdoor use. Have an elaborate holiday lighting arrangement around the roof and walkway leading up to my front door. This wi-fi outdoor smart plug will enable me to set up some cool Alexa scenes for turning on the lights and full size singing elf during certain times of day and weather events. Pairing it to my mesh wi-fi network went very smoothly, considering I have the smart connect option enabled (Combines the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands into one.) Each outlet is recognized as independent devices. They’re also grounded, so I don’t have to worry about power spikes unexpectedly stopping my light show. Being fully enclosed in a waterproof stand-alone housing gives me more flexibility on where to sit it. Developer did a really nice job designing this wi-fi outdoor outlet to perform well in any weather condition. Highly recommend this product. ... show more

    • Easy to Use Outdoor Wi-Fi Outlet
I have a lot of string lights outside on a dusk/dawn timer, but they stay on all night, and I have to keep replacing bulbs. There's not a much better option on the old timer that is also hard to get to. Now I can set a schedule, keep them on when we want, save some electricity, and also not be distracted at night as the light enters the house somewhat. ... show more

If you have ever set up a device with SmartLife or Tuya then you will have no trouble getting this up and running within minutes. If you have never done it before, there may be a learning curve the first time. Once you have it set up you can control the plugs individually from the app, from Alexa, with a Google assistant or via routines. There is nothing not to like here, it does everything it says and there will be no unpleasant surprises or disappointment. And at under $17 it is very reasonably priced for a two-outlet smart outdoor plug. Highly recommended. There's a lot of these types of product out there, so I will cut to the chase. It is great for these reasons: 1. It is incredibly easy to set up (make sure you're using 2g and not 5g wifi). 2. It uses Smart Life app, which connects to A TON of other devices, and fully integrated with Alexa (and I'm assuming Google home, though my house is an Alexa /Amazon setup) 3. Had this up and running within 5 minutes of receiving it in the mail, easy with the Smartlife app. I have 60ft of strip lights in my backyard that line my flower fence. Now I can just tell Alexa to turn on the flower fence from any room in the house, put it on a timer.... LOVE it!. This has 2 outlets that operate independently.
