First time was not a good experience. Second time was.
Model name: CM 6360 MilkPerfection Color: Lotus White & Clean Steel Metallic
This product died with a "Rinse milk pipework again" error within a week of me setting it up. After 6 again" attempts I called Miele support. Miele support is less than useless and after hanging up and calling back in to see if I could get someone that would actually try, then next person instructed me to call their retail store for help. The retail store said it was a lemon but because I purchased it from Amazon and Amazon is an authorized distributor Amazon has to handle the return. Amazon refused to replace the product and tells me to call Miele. - Amazon finally took the return, the new one works like a champ. fantastic coffee and Miele has been in touch many time with follow-up questions about the dead unit. Will re-update in a couple months . Update.- The second unit also had the issue with "Rinse milk pipework" never going away after a few uses. I continued my contact with a regional representative from Miele. She determined that Miele did not send the proper cleaning samples and sent me some additional products to determine if that was the issue. Sure enough, that was it. Ever since being introduced to the proper cleaning products that Miele forgot to package, the unit has been great. I hope that Miele is now shipping samples of all the required cleaning products with this device. At this point we are Miele fans. Thank you for your efforts Katja. Your unit will need 3 types of cleaning products to support it. If you purchase this and it does not come with 3 cleaning product samples, you will need to purchase any missing ones. You will need 1)the large "descaling" disks, 2)the small "degreasing" tablets and 3) the small packet about the size of single use drink mixes that are called "Cleaning agent for Milk Pipework Miele machines cva 5060/5065". They packaging does not reference this particular model of machine but it is the right package. ... show more

Zero customer service/came back still broken
Model name: CM 6360 MilkPerfection Color: Lotus White & Clean Steel Metallic
After reading lots of reviews about having their machines for 10, 15, and 20 years, we were sold on the durability of this machine. We’ve had ours for three years, and I’ve had quite a few issues. Most we have been able to troubleshoot and fix. But this time it gave a fault code F74. And then it would not stay on. We would turn it on and it would make a little noise and then turn back off. We tried everything, including unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for a while. Then we finally called tech-support and gave them the fault code and they said we needed to run maintenance on the machine. We told them we couldn’t because it wouldn’t stay on. Then they scheduled us an appointment and we waited about a week and a half. They did offer a deal where we pay $360 to ship it to them and they fix whatever is wrong with it and then they ship it back. But we already paid $2300 for a machine that we’ve only had for three years. We wanted to take our chance on a cheaper repair. They finally called us and told us who would be handling our repair. We fix it. Was the name of the company. They said they would contact us within 24 hours. No one contacted us. We called the number they gave us for we fix it. They informed us that they do not do repairs on these machines. So we went with the paying $360 to have it repaired option. We sent it off. Just got it back. Coffee grounds everywhere. Machine wasn’t even put back together. It didn’t look good. I filled the bean holder and made a cup or two to run water through the system. Then I made one cup of coffee. After that, it went to crap. Never made another cup. It would make this loud noise, the noise it makes when beans are empty, then it would cancel drink, and say “fill bean holder.” We cant fill it any more than it already is. So we try again. Same thing. Try to rinse and clean pipework. Nothing works. Tried using ground coffee option, nope, went straight to rinsing cycle. Theres something wrong electrically with our machine. It doesn’t grind coffee any more. I asked Meile about the third party company and asked if they would let them know how dirty the machine was when it was sent back. They told me I could contact the third party myself. What? They’re asking us to send it back and they’re going to look at it again at no charge. Crossing fingers but not expecting much at this point. We are so over this overpriced, no customer service machine and company. We were looking at the in-wall system for our next home, but not anymore. At this rate the machine cost us around $820 per year we’ve had it against what we paid. Not worth it. We could have gotten a commercial machine with better customer service. I would not buy this machine. I’m hoping we can get it fixed one day for a reasonable price. But for now we’re using our K cups. So far, this is not been a good investment. ... show more

It just arrived today...
Model name: CM 6360 MilkPerfection Color: Lotus White & Clean Steel Metallic
I have only had the 6360 for an hour but wanted to write this review because so many others ran into problems on day one, which made me hesitant to complete this purchase. I eventually decided to purchase it anyway and it arrived today. I set it up immediately because my old espresso machine (Jura) broke down a week ago and I miss my coffee. It took two minutes to unbox it, two minutes to fill with water and beans and another two minutes to plug it in and go through the setup process. Everything happened just like it was supposed to. I cheated a little bit because I read an online version of the user manual before the machine arrived so I didn't have to waste time reading the setup instructions. I made two cups of coffee and threw them away per the instructions. I then made a cup of coffee for myself using the default setting. I got 5 ounces of coffee and it was very strong. I added a little water and it was pretty nice with a good crema. Tomorrow I will make some adjustments to suit my taste. Note: I haven't gone through any of the cleaning processes yet, which is where some people ran into their problems. By reading these reviews and per the user manual I know not to use too much water in the tank when cleaning so I am hoping that I won't run into problems. I will update this review if I run into problems tomorrow or sometime down the road, but so far I am really excited because I was expecting it to be DOA, and instead it surprised me and worked perfectly. UPDATE: I have had the machine for a few days now and am still very impressed. All of the default coffee settings are very strong so I have updated the "coffee amount" settings to suit my taste. Changing the coffee amount, brew temperature and pre-brew setting is quite easy. Changing the portion size is more convoluted however. Once you select "Portion size" from the Paramenter menu, the machine starts dispensing the beverage and you have to press the OK key once it has dispensed the amount of coffee/espresso/froth that want. I prefer the Jura process which lets you select the number of ounces (for coffee/espresso) and the number of seconds to dispense froth. I don't actually have to dispense the beverage at that time. The froth created by the Miele is superior to any machine I have used to date which includes Jura, DeLonghi and Saeco. Cleaning the frothing tube after each use is very easy and I prefer it over the Jura. I have only had the machine for a few days but decided to run the weekly milkpipe maintence anyway as per some of the reveiws it seems to be the most problematic. I made the mistake of emptying the water container and adding the 300 ml of lukewarm water prior to actually turning the machine on. I don't recommend this because the machine starts telling you that you need to add water. The instructions clearly state to open the Menu and select Maintence / Clean Milk Pipework. The machine will then prompt you when to empty the water container, etc. Even though I got ahead of the process, I did get the cycle to run with no further issues. It takes about 20 minutes. In comparing this process to the Jura, the Jura is much easier because it has a separate container for the cleaning agent; you don't have to empty the water container. The Jura only take 5 minutes, while the Miele takes 20 minutes. My Jura never made good froth though, so if the 20 minute Miele process keeps my unit making good froth I will happily perform the function at least once a week. So, having owned the machine for 5 days, I still give it 5 stars. ... show more

New machine won't froth milk. Miele and Amazon passing the buck. I'm out $3000
Model name: CM 6360 MilkPerfection Color: Obsidian Black & Bronze Pearl Finish
This is the second Miele CM 6360 machine I have bought, and did so because I was so happy with the machine I have at home that I wanted one for my office. I bought it from the Miele store on Amazon. I love good coffee but my time is at a premium and appreciate the quality of the coffee and time savings these machines offer. The machine worked well at first, but a few months in, it stopped frothing milk- sputtering and spitting hot water and air into my drinks. I read the manual, visited the Miele website, and repeatedly performed all of the troubleshooting recommendations for this problem, including taking the entire milk frothing apparatus apart and soaking all parts in Miele branded milk cleaning solution. None of it worked- the machine continued to spit and sputter when asked to make any drink requiring frothing of milk. I decided to contact Miele for help. After spending about an hour on hold, and then another half hour creating an account and registering for my warranty, the agent told me that Amazon sold me a machine "from Canada" and that I would therefore need to take the problem up with Amazon. Miele would provide no support. I visited the Amazon help page, and they are referring me to Miele's support line and website- the same ones I had already spent so much time on. I should have just bought a Jura. Despite still being happy with the machine we have at home, I will never buy another Miele coffee maker again. As frustrating as it is to buy a $3000 coffee maker that won't make the coffee its supposed to make only a few months after purchase, it is absolutely infuriating to be told the manufacturer will not support it despite admitting that it is still under warranty- and neither the manufacturer or seller (Amazon) want to help me solve the problem. ... show more

Review Image by NSXDriver
I had the previous model: CM6350 for a little over 4 years. It made 10K + drinks over that time and gave me some trouble but not too much. The coffee shoot got plugged and I had to disassemble the machine to clean it. The brewing unit after a while got more and more difficult to install back in the machine after cleaning it and eventually broke which precipitated the need to repair or replace - which I did. It always made warm instead of hot milk which annoyed me to no end. Milk perfection advertising is what attracted me to the new CM 6360 model but it is far from it. My old machine only gave me luke-warm milk when hot milk was called for and nobody could tell me how to make it hotter. I saw a couple of reviews that said that this one made hotter milk but that is not so. This machine also only makes luke-warm milk and I don't know how to make it hotter. Three calls to Miele customer service have not given me an answer. I hate having to microwave my beverage when milk is called for. It can make super hot coffee so that compensates for some of the luke-warm milk but it is still an unsatisfactory solution. However, it is as good or perhaps slightly better at making a great coffee as my old machine. I like the pre-brewing step for the drinks if you choose to use it - it gives a more flavorful coffee using the same or less amount of beans. I had thought of returning it but decided to keep it in the end. Am I happy with it? Yes. Would I buy it again under the same circumstances? No. I should have repaired and kept my 6350. The new machine is not worth the expense. Update: It's only been a couple of months since I bought this machine and the milk froth maker has failed! I have yet to call Miele support to try to get it repaired but OMG! how unreliable can this be? I've read other negative comments from people who's machine broke down immediately after purchase but I expected more - much more from my new machine. I will continue to update this as I go through the process of getting it repaired. 2nd Update on 11/3/2022: I had the machine serviced and went to plug it in and make my first cup and it doesn't work. The machine tells me to insert the tray and waste container back in when it's already inserted - the message does not go away. I take the tray from my old machine and insert it and it works fine. OK, there is a problem with the tray; they sent me the wrong tray or broke mine. I called Miele Service and they tell me to contact their service department at such and such email. I've sent two emails with photos in the past week and I've gotten no response. I called Miele Service again so I can get a number to call and the person on the phone tells me that she cannot give me a number but she can send me some information for trouble shooting and if I cannot resolve it after going through the troubleshooting motions then she can write another ticket and we can send the machine back to Miele for a second time - this after I clearly explained to her what the problem was. I'm going to buy the part myself and resolve my problem but I'm disappointed with Miele Customer Service. Third Update: 5/30/2023 I could not buy a new tray because there were none available for sale at the time. Instead of sending the machine back I decided to repair the broken tray which they broke or substituted a broken one for my perfectly good one at the time they repaired the milk froth maker issue. After the first milk froth repair the machine came back with a note saying the milk ducts were plugged or something to that effect. I thought it was my fault for not cleaning it often enough so from then on I rinsed the milk pipes every time I made drinks requiring milk. I also did a full milk pipe cleaning maintenance every week. About a week ago the milk/froth system failed again! The machine cannot draw milk from the container and it only spews hot steam. I cleaned all the pipes and orifices that I could find to no avail. I will return it for repair again but I now deeply regret buying this new machine. What a waste of money! And Miele service has been non-responsive other than asking me to send the machine back for repair - seriously? My advice for you is to stay away from purchasing this thing. ... show more

Great Coffee, Easy to Use and Clean, works great with oat milk
Model name: CM 6360 MilkPerfection Color: Obsidian Black & Clean Steel Metallic
This was our first super automatic coffee machine after years of making drip coffee and pour overs. We don't use dairy in our house and a key requirement of this system was for it to use a non-dairy milk. After much experimentation we found Califia Farms Barista Blend Oat Milk works better than any other oat milk. At first we thought the unit may have been broken when trying other oat milks but after several failures with other non-dairy milks the Califia Farms Barista Blend Oat Milk froths as well if not better than dairy whole milk. The Miele CM 6360 has every option and customization to the coffee you would ever want. Each family member can have a different profile with their own modifications, more liquid, more milk, temperature. The app is not all that useful, it works but there isn't anything that the app does that can't be done from the unit front panel just as fast if not faster. We first thought it would be useful to turn on the unit when we wake up so it's ready to go by the time we get downstairs but the Miele warms up so fast it's not even worth turning it on remotely. The only negative is that we paid extra for the 6360 over the 6160 thinking the area around the coffee ports was stainless. It is not, just a different color plastic. The self cleaning milk tube is a game changer, it really works and the tube is spotless after every cleaning. Overall we are very happy with the 6360 and would highly recommend it. If the extra profiles aren't a priority for you the 6160 is the same coffee brew unit without some of the not so useful features and is clearly a better value for the same coffee making capability. ... show more

Machine looks nice, but Poor Quality, will not last long.
Model name: CM 6360 MilkPerfection Color: Obsidian Black & Clean Steel Metallic
This is a reflection of the quality of the machine, not the seller. After 15 months of ownership, machine failed - it has a 2 year warranty, which is nice, but paying this kind of money, you have a right to expect better. Miele severly marks up these machines in US, in Europe, you can purchase same machine for half the price you pay for it n United States. My wife and I drink 1 cup per day so on average in all we made (2-3) cups per day in all, over the 15 month of ownership, so I would not classify as an extreme use case. We cleaned and descaled the machine religiously according to instructions, and followed all maintenance reccomendations and maintenance schedule. It is still under warranty but first you have to submit a case through Miele, it takes a week for them to get back to you and assign a service tech company, usually some local appliance tech. Then it takes 1-2 weeks to schedule a first avail appoitment for the tech to come out to your house to look at machine to detrmine what is wrong. Then they order parts, and it takes 2-3 weeks if you are lucky for the parts to arrive. (They will not let you scheudle an appoitmnet until parts arrive and are received in their hands). After parts arrive they let you know that you can now schedule an appoitnment and it takes another 2 weeks for first available appoitmnet. It has been 5 weeks, still waiting for my machine to get repaired. ... show more
