  • Great portability but the anti-tip wheels are poorly designed
I use a Permobil power chair full time and bought this chair for airplane travel since it can be taken apart (by my travel companion) and placed in the trunk or back of a rental car rather than need a ramp van at my destination to accommodate my power chair. The anti-tip wheels on this chair touch the ground at a minimum incline and make it difficult to use a ramp of any kind. I have a Braunability van that the chair will not go into without a "running" start and an aluminum ramp at my patio door that the chair will not climb without a "running" start... both precarious experiences. If I approach the ramps slowly the anti-tip wheels come in contact the ground and prevent the motorized wheels from having enough traction for the chair to move. ... show more

  • Nice
The doc says I need one of these~~getting older and weaker from a bad heart. So I went several places and tried both the 3 wheeled and 4 wheeled scooters. They just did not seem stable to me and shifting from forward to reverse was not fun when I got jammed up either. Then they showed me this power chair. I found it much easier to operate and it maneuvers much better inside the home too as it turns on a dime. Try the two out like I did and you will see what I mean. There is no reverse as all controls are part of the joy stick. I think the only shock you will get is when you find out what it costs to rig one of these devices for your car/SUV!! It only comes with a couple of small baskets for shopping so I am certain you will want to rig up something in the way of a basket for that. Deliver came quickly. I ordered my chair on a Saturday and had it Thursday. Not bad for a freight shipment! Quality appears to be as good or better than most of the brands out there today. The two 18 AH batteries give long life to the motors too. ... show more

  • We LOVE MY PRIDE GO CHAIR
I love my Go Chair! I find it very convenient to use in going to the mailbox to collect our mail or just joining my husband and our dog when he (my dog) has to go out to void and just going for a nice walk on a lovely day in nice weather conditions! My husband loves it now that I can join him❣️It is very comfortable as easy to handle. I’ve used it in many places and if you take it apart, you can pretty much load it into the back of your vehicle or in the trunk of your car, depending on the type automobile you are using. My husband & I go quite a bit, so since we have made two trips to Va. Beach bringing my go chair with us I speak from experience; as we have transported my go chair in our 2018 KIA NIRO (in two parts) and the following. year we made. a trip to Va. Beach in my KIA SOUL! Loved using my Go Chair on the 3 mile walk/stroll with my husband on the boardwalk and when we went to the. Neptune to see/hear the Navy Band in concert! I have had my Go Chair for almost 3 years. I love it ... show more

  • Not worth the headaches
Worked fine the first few weeks, but then the charger stopped working while on a cruise to Alaska. Now the battery wont take a charge. Too many problems and no one to contact directly to get it resolved! Piece of crap! No place to fo to replace the inoperative battery. DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR.

  • Awesome for mobility - my grandfather loves it.
This was pricey, that is for sure, but, kudos on the design. It is very well built and definitely of high quality. Pretty easy to assemble though the manual is useless, picture manuals are the worst, but that's ok, didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Very stable and my grandfather definitely prefers this to a three or four wheel scooter. Easier to get around in tight places. Also, turns on a dime, can completely rotate with little effort or space needed so very good for tight places. It is heavy so if you want to load it into a mid-size SUV (won't fit in anything smaller without disassembling it completely) you will need to be able to lift 60 pounds or have assistance. Only recommendation I would have is on the foot rest. Needs to be lifted to get into the chair and it can be a little difficult for elderly people to reach down and lower it. My grandfather just leaves it down but makes it a little tougher to step into the chair as he has to widen his stance around the foot rest to sit down. Otherwise, highly recommend this product, it is very well built and reasonably priced. ... show more

  • This is really a great chair for the money
This is really a great chair for the money. I have had it 2 weeks now and am really pleased with it. The sellers are great people they phoned me to tell me it was shipped, and said if I had any questions to please give them a call. As for the chair the turning radius is awsome and it sets me at bar heitht so I can eat without trying to move from the chair to a stool. Love the machine would recommend it to anyone. ... show more

  • Impressed all around !
Delivered in good condition. Well engineered piece of equipment. The only issue I had assembling it was that one arm was not properly inspected at the factory and I had to reassemble it properly. Took some mechanical skill to do so! I have been using this chair for over a week and have run into every doorway in the house. Luckily it's built like a Sherman Tank ! I am getting better with experience though and I plan to make the home more wheelchair friendly. My experience is that all interior doorways should be a minimum of 30" in width, and ideally approachable head on instead of at an angle. I have a AWDA compliant wheel chair ramp out side and the chair handles the incline nicely! For the price , you can't beat this chair! ... show more
