I was looking for a Mac to purchase for some entry-level music creation, mixing, production, etc - but also looking for something to just have for typical portable computing things I would find pretty inconvenient on a smartphone. Never owned a Mac before, so the choice fatigue was REAL. I purchased the 512GB storage, 8GB RAM model, and so far it is perfect for what I need. I have high standards for technology and performance, being in the IT field, and this laptop knocks it out of the park. The performance for what you pay for is incredible (and that's not to say this laptop is a budget system). The M1 chip more than keeps up with my audio workflows, multiple applications open, etc. MacOS is so optimized and balanced that you would never notice this device has 8GB of RAM. Initially I returned my first refurbished M1 air and got the new M3 air because I wasn't fully aware of what it was capable of. After using the M3 air for about a week, I realized it was actually TOO overpowered for what I am looking to use it for. Returned it, and got this refurbished M1 air. Bottom line, if you need something for light-to-medium creative work with amazing battery life, build quality, and something that just keeps going and going, this is a perfect choice. On to the refurbishing quality. It's perfect. The battery must've been replaced, because it has 100% health, which is awesome to see on a refurb system. The screen is perfect as well. Not even a micro scratch. Keyboard is perfect as well. All around, the system is like brand new. It was either VERY well taken care of by the previous owner, or the components were replaced to make it resellable. Either way, it's perfect in and out. Charger and cable included were aftermarket, however they are similar quality to the original charger, and work exactly the same. ... show more

So thrilled with the laptop!! It is honestly like new. Aesthetically, it's in beautiful shape with no scratches or dings. It runs mint - it's lightning fast! Everything works as it should. It was factory reset when I received it and ready for use. Excellent sound quality and the screen has a gorgeous display with bright, crisp colors. Super easy to connect to peripheral devices and wifi. It's the perfect size - large enough to confortably use programs, but light enough to be portable. All pictures were taken right after box opened. At the time the product was deemed to be in Excellent condition. I purchased as advertised. Upon arrival product looked like it was not even wiped down. Deep scratches on back, visible finger prints, debris between keys, and HAIR. One piece stuck between touchpad and frame. Exactly as described. Item in Excellent condition. Good-not great battery life (86%) but still holds up very well. No noticeable dents, dings or physical imperfections to the laptop. All in all very happy.

Have heard horror stories about generic chargers not working on MacBook Air. Shift and Caps Lock key stuck a bit. Otherwise computer was as described.
