Description

The Apple iPad Air has a 10.9" Liquid Retina Display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). The Liquid Retina Display still has all the features you expect, such as P3 wide color gamut coverage, True Tone, anti-reflective and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coatings, 500 nits of brightness, and support for the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil (sold separately). The screen isn't the only thing that got improved. The iPad Air now houses the A14 Bionic chip, providing the performance boost you need to handle 4K video editing, play immersive games, and more. There is also 64GB of storage capacity. The iPad Air now features a 12MP rear camera, the same one found on the iPad Pro. The rear camera can be used to capture high-res photos and 4K videos. The iPad Air also has a 7MP FaceTime HD camera as well as stereo speakers when in landscape mode. You still get Touch ID with the iPad Air. Apple has replaced the Lightning connector with a USB Type-C port on the iPad Air.

Don’t get me wrong, fantastic device. The only problem for me that would be worth a star or two itself is there is NO HOME BUTTON. I knew this going in and I always have the accessibility option for an on-screen “button” enabled. I really only wanted this for the second gen pen pineapple Apple Pen…cil. I decided to get the 4 instead of the 5 because from what I read the spec differences were not worth the cost. The new processor differences weren’t worth the 200 dollar difference. REFURBISHED, MODEL DIFFERENCES- I got a refurbished, it was absolutely perfect. The charging cable was actually longer. I found a returned Apple Pencil 2 for 65 dollars, was able to max out the specs on this one for the same price as the new air 5 stock standard. The colors on this gen are super boring, but it’s always in a case so who cares. STORAGE- You can put so many apps on this that run perfectly. I’ve never seen it have a problem. KEYBOARD— The new keyboard is odd. I still haven’t quite figured it out yet. Passwords are cumbersome now. Some of it doesn’t make sense and does not feel organic at all. FOR ARTISTS AND WRITERS— As an artist by hobby more than profession, the pro was just always out of reach with regards to cost. Like, ffff how many major electronics can a normal person afford in this day and age? I have no frame of reference but I can say this pencil is PHENOMENAL, it’s like using an actual pencil. The pressure and sensitivity are incredible. If you take off the nib, the tip is actually made of gold, surprisingly. I can’t stand that the only way to charge it is to magnetically attach it to the side of the device, HOWEVER, it charges 2% in about 1 minute. ... show more

The first iPad that I received was faulty, as it was only able to stay on for five minutes at a time before it crashed and restarted the entire thing. However, I was able to return it and received the replacement within a couple days of sending the original back. As in, I was shocked to find it on my doorstep, the delivery was so fast. The replacement is perfect. I can't even tell that it isn't brand new from the Apple store. My Apple pencil and drawing app, Procreate, are working great with it. This iPad is amazing, and I highly recommend buying this and saving money rather than buying brand new. You won't be able to tell the difference. ... show more

    • Certified Refurbished Means Nothing

We purchased this iPad on 7/1 and it was delivered by 7/3 of this year. We bought it because it stated that it was a guaranteed amazon certified refurbished. This also came with a 90 day guarantee. I used it everyday with little to no issues during this time period. However, shortly after the 90 days passed the problems began. The iPad started to power cycle randomly. It didn't matter what the battery charge was at or if it was even plugged in. I admit I should've called this sooner, but until it stopped charging I wasn't thinking much of it. It worked "enough" of the time that I could still get things done. After it stopped charging I immediately scheduled an appointment at Apple to see if it could be fixed. I was past the 90 days, and was hoping it was something easy. Nope! Apple ran the serial numbers and it turns out that this iPad had been returned to them a year ago for the EXACT same issue. They said it was a hardware problem that was unrepairable and the iPad would need to be scrapped and replaced. They also said that there was no evidence or record that any work had actually been done on the iPad. The employee at Apple even stated that it seemed scammy and fishy that this was even sold to me. I immediately contacted the seller's customer service, it was incredibly difficult to actually get a hold of a representative. I'm not sure if Amazon is the cause of the difficulty or the seller's. I will say, they responded quickly once we were able to figure out how to start the chat, but they were minimally responsive, and simply said that since this product made it past 90 days, there was nothing that could be done. We have not been able to get them to answer or even work with us since then. This review should be a warning to buyers. I would not purchase anything that says "refurbished" from this seller. It's also frustrating that this somehow got Amazon's certification on it as the issue was apparently never fixed. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. There are no scratches, dents, or divots anywhere on this iPad. I bought this in “Acceptable” condition but this is excellent. I got this iPad for 279.99 RENEWED. This is brand stinkin’ new. It came with a case that turns into a stand. Do you know how insane is that? An iPad like this one would retail about 500 dollars. I paid PRACTICALLY HALF OF THAT and got an identical iPad. I definitely recommend you research the reseller and their reviews beforehand to make sure you aren’t buying stolen goods but otherwise? It won’t be the last time I buy off of these guys. Elated. ... show more
