I got this Laser projector light for the side of our house. This is the first time we decorated the house for Christmas and decided to use a Lazer light on the side wall. This thing is great, it is very clear, and the Red/Green colors are cool. I just let it go in demo mode, and it winds thru its different settings and images. So far, we have not had a single issue, and everyone likes it.

I was hesitant to order this unit, but took a chance since it was discounted for Cyber Monday. While the unit is not perfect, it is pretty good and will meet my needs. I'm a lazy Grinch, but the wife loves Christmas, so I finally gave in to lighting the house. I didn't want to use traditional lights, so this seemed like a good compromise. My worries were it wouldn't be bright enough, the coverage would be poor, and the unit was not waterproof. Of these concerns, only one was justified: the waterproofing. This unit uses the same kind of connection commonly found on inflatable decorations, which are not water tight. I'll be housing the connection in a waterproof housing unit to prevent it from getting wet or causing a shock hazard. This seems like a better choice than purchasing the solar ones as they tend to be less bright and the battery will likely stop holding a charge over time. As for the brightness, the images are visible even at dusk. We're not trying to be spotted from space, so it's sufficiently bright for us. The coverage is also great. The front of our home is not very wide, so it covers the entire front and part of the side gate. All in all, the wife loves the look of these and I didn't have to climb on the roof to put lights on the second floor of the house, so I think it's a win-win compromise for us. The only question now is whether or not is it durable over the long haul. It's not likely a bfl product, but I'll be happy if it lasts at least two holiday seasons.

I was very excited to get this projector with the hope to have a festive display of lights upon my house but week two of using this the green light completely failed and only the red lights work somewhat. I can’t use them at this point. In my opinion sometimes it is just better to spend a little more in order to get a better quality product. This is a thumbs down for me.

At first i was very happy with these lights. However this year not so much. I took care when storing this so there'd be no issues on down the road. I tried to get them to work last evening but it wouldn't turn on? Upon closer inspection i found the problem. Right where the wire goes into the unit all the insulating plastic had separated leaving both negative and positive wires to be in contact! You hear every Christmas how someone's tree catches fire and burns the house down. I never in a million years would have thought these lights would also be a fire risk. Having exposed frayed wires in contact with each other is a tragedy just waiting to happen. For the reason cited i would never consider getting these again let alone recommending these to someone. For safety reasons just steer clear of these lights.
