  • Great WiFi extender
Bought it used for $70 and works great so far! I’ve been testing the WiFi with it on and with it off and all the speed checks indicate it’s working faster! Also all my bars on my iPhone are now always all full so even my phone is getting better connection!! I hope it continues to work for a long time! I’ll be back with a post in a year to see if it’s still working!! ... show more

  • Even Netgear' support staff couldn't get it connected...
NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7700 I spent an hour trying to install this thing, meticulously following Netgear's brief and inadequate instructions. Since my 4-year old router lacks the WPS feature (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), the only other option Netgear offers is the “Nighthawk” app via my smartphone. Without going into the gory details, installation didn't work. I spent two hours on the phone with Netgear's support staff -- trying a dozen or more things they suggested. They finally gave up and said they couldn't connect it to my router – so it must be defective. So, I returned it -- six hours after Amazon delivered the product. There were actually two support staff working on it at times and both had a pronounced Indian accent, making them difficult to understand -- amplifying the frustration. After that, I bought a Linksys AC1200 MAX Wi-Fi Gigabit Range Extender, which took 10 minutes to set up and link to my router. The Linksys works well. For example, a security camera at the furthest distance from the router, on the outside of the garage, had played recorded videos in a halting/jerking mode, sometimes with long pauses – and now those videos are smooth and nonstop. Also, testing our network signal strength (Android app: WiFi Manager) showed the Linksys extender on the first floor of the house has a stronger signal than the signal from the router on the second floor of the house. ... show more

Dead zones are a thing of the past, and I can now enjoy seamless streaming and gaming without interruption. The mesh extender's sleek design blends effortlessly with my decor, and its reliable performance has truly exceeded my expectations. It's been a game-changer for my home connectivity, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. ... show more

  • Badass.
So, I added this to my T-Mobile 5G home internet deal. Upgrading from 25mbps to their 260mbps was SO much better. I, a man always seeking more, said I want MORE. BUDDY DID NETGEAR DELIVER! FAST speeds at 350mbps, my ping may as well be negative, and I’ve connected over 20 devices to the network at a time and you’d think you are the only one on the whole network. Super stoked, and living in a place where fast internet isn’t a priority, this is just the upper hand amongst my family and friends when they visit. WOO! ... show more

  • Not "New" as described, and aside from a couple usage tips below, works really great!
Problem: The box and extender inside had obviously been opened, and the power cord had been re-wrapped, so this is not "New" as described in the ad. I reached out to the seller about the issue, but never received a response. I don't buy used electronics period, but was in a position that I needed it and didn't have time to screw around with returning it, so fingers crossed..... Installation/Issues: 1. According to the instructions, the extender is supposed to inherit the names/passwords of the networks it is linked to, but this did not happen. I went into the app, renamed them, and applied the same passwords, which resolved the issue, but is of note, and the reason for the 3 stars. If you are used to using the Nighthawk app, this isn't a big deal, but if you aren't could lead to some head scratching. To do that, launch the app, Select Network App and click on the extender to connect/log into it. select the WIFI Settings options, and then select the network in question. You can then give it a new name and password. 2. I had read that items would automatically look to the better signal, but IF your device is in one location and is already connected to a network with a weak signal, you may need to disconnect and reconnect to pick up the better signal. The Extender Itself: As for the extender itself, it does a great job, and is as advertised in that regard! ... show more
