  • Replaced an older Orbi Mesh system with this one
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 5,000 sq. ft. (RBK752)
I had an Orbi RBK30 mesh system for 4 years and thought it was time to upgrade to the WIFI 6 RBK750 system. I did the manual setup rather than use the Orbi app on my smartphone. Once I figured out which procedure to follow the setup was pretty painless and I had the new system running with all my devices connected within an hour. That included changing the admin password, ssid, and both primary and guest passwords and connecting, 2 laptops, 2 iPhones, a NAS, a Chromebook, and a printer. After 1 day the iPhone connections would be dropped and I couldn't figure out why. A sent a message to Netgear support and they were able to walk me through a procedure to change the channels on the primary and guest networks and it has been working great ever since. The Netgear tech even called me the next day to see if the problem was resolved. I couldn't believe it. Many Kudos to Netgear Support. ... show more

  • Very good coverage and speed
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 5,000 sq. ft. (RBK752)
Better, by far, than any previous wi fi range extender used. Two minor things of note that are not clear in any installation literature (thus the 4 stars). First - the actual syncing of the satellite at start up takes a lot longer than you would expect - be patient. Second - contrary to all I read, even when using the same network name and password as my previous netgear router each device had to be logged in as new device in the network. Not a biggie, but would have been helpful to know early in the install instead of discovery as I tested. Expensive, but speedy and reliable. A really good solution. ... show more

  • Highly recommend for AT&T Fiber Users
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 7,500 sq. ft. (RBK753)
I feel foolish for struggling with the absolutely terrible AT&T wifi router (BGW210) and 5 extenders in my roughly 4500 sqft 3 level house for the past 3 years. When the wifi worked (which was becoming increasingly less common) I got maximum of 250mbps downloads on the 1gbps fiber connection and very spotty coverage in many parts of the house. That was more than enough if not particularly satisfying. Well, this set up (ultimately the 3 unit version plus one more satellite for good measure) is now giving me >600mbps downloads OUTSIDE my house! While it wasn't the easiest to set up the satellites (each took several attempts) they have been working reliably for a week now with NO ISSUES (which could not be said for AT&T set up EVER). You do need to run the AT&T router in the IP Passthrough mode, but youtube video from "Miller Technical Services" on how to do that was perfect. It took 5 minutes and now I have real wifi. I highly recommend this set up for AT&T Fiber customers who are having problems with the terrible AT&T equipment. ... show more

  • Wasn’t any better than the Orbi RBK50, poor customer service
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 5,000 sq. ft. (RBK752)
I’ve been a longtime Orbi mesh router user. Started with the RBK40 and then eventually bought an RBR50 router off of an online auction site. The RBR50 served me well for a few years until I tried to re-subscribe to Netgear’s Armor security service: The service wasn’t showing up on my RBR50. I eventually figured out that I had never had it registered to my account but when I attempted to do so I was unable to because the device was registered to another user (ah, the joys of purchasing used electronics). Contacted Tech Support via email and, after jumping through some hoops, the representative added the device to my account. In the meantime, I had decided to purchase this Orbi Wi-Fi 6 combo. I set it up and I didn’t notice any difference in range or speeds between this Wi-Fi 6 router and the RBR50 so I decided to return this newest hardware and contact Netgear about transferring my Armor subscription to the RBR50 (having since figured out that that must be why I wasn’t seeing the service available in the app). Contacted Tech Support again and here’s where things fall apart. Have you noticed nowadays that there seem to be a fair amount of people working in customer service roles over email that have a lot of “keyboard courage” and like to punish others by hewing to the letter of the law rather than providing, ya know, customer service? Yeah, that’s what this next guy was. He said that he needed to verify that the device belonged to me and that I needed to jump through the same hoops as before (provide proof of purchase, etc.). I explained that I had already gone through this several months earlier and that the device was already registered to my account and asked if this was really necessary and he stated that, after having reviewed my account, proper protocols weren’t followed the first time so, yes, I would have to do it again. I emailed him the information and never heard back. Lo and behold, scarcely a month later, Amazon announces that their Eero mesh routers will now start using 4th and 5th generation Echo Dots as satellites! (I bet you can guess where this is going.) I already have a few 4th gen Echo Dots scattered around my house so I don’t think I will be needing Netgear’s services too much longer. The Eero 6 Plus mesh 3-pack system looks like a perfect fit for my needs and I will be making the switch soon. ... show more

  • Netgear. Haven't gone wrong yet.
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 5,000 sq. ft. (RBK752)
This is my second Orbi system. 1st was WIFI-5 (AC) at my last home and they worked great. I've had this WIFI-6 pair for just about 30-days and no complaints. My gig speed internet from my cable company is registering 950-980 MB consistently across my network, so I couldn't be happier. One drop in the last 30 days, and that can happen, so not concerned at this point. ... show more

  • Self explanatory
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 5,000 sq. ft. (RBK752)
Works good, easy to figure out, the satellite receiver is hard wired to a gaming PC no complaints yet

  • Amazing!
Style: 4.2Gbps speed, 7,500 sq. ft. (RBK753)
Straightforward setup, throughput is off the charts, guest network is perfect for separating your IOT devices (Ring, Roomba, TVs etc).
