  • ... a new switch with gigabit speed I would highly recommend this product
Style: 24 port
If you are looking to either upgrade an existing switch or purchase a new switch with gigabit speed I would highly recommend this product. Recently my internet speed jumped from 40Mbps to 120Mbps, I had been using a Netgear FS524 which has a max speed of 100Mbps. With my new switch I can take full advantage of my speed upgrade and my network traffic has seen an improvement as well. My new Netgear Gigabit switch not only provides me with additional speed but the fan-less design is a significant improvement over the older fan based models because of the noise reduction. The changeover from my old switch to the new Gigabit switch was extremely simple and the new Gigabit switch also has a smaller footprint. This product is a slam dunk with a good design and performance which meets expectation, again I would highly recommend. Pros: - Status LEDs are easy to read - Plug and play - Fanless design is quiet Cons: - Non that I have found ... show more

  • Worked well for almost 5 years
Style: 24 port
When I picked up this switch in 2017 it was $75 shipped, no way is this thing worth the $100+ they are asking for it now. While my switch techincally still works for the past month about once a week around the same time during a morning meeting the network traffic cannot ping my local router, I have tried moving ports, and power cycling. It isnt over heating, not sure what is causing the issue and support has not been helpful. Only replacing the switch has alleviated my network woes. ... show more

  • Plug and play and be happy.
Style: 24 port
What's not to like? These have always worked well for us and as an add-on unit we can test these side by side and note about a 5-7% speed increase over our older 10/100 unit over the same pipe line. Better chip and memory inside, probably. Data transfers thru the new hub are, of course, much faster than those thru the older, slower, hub. Well satisfied. Set it and forget it ... show more

  • It's a basic piece of hardware that does exactly what it should
Style: 24 port
I bought this to clean up what our builder had done for the terminations of the structured cabling in the house. And it's doing exactly what it needs to - giving me a place to plug a bunch of ethernet cables into so the router can handle the internal DHCP. It's not fancy - I didn't need PoE or anything like that - I just needed it to do a thing. And it does the thing very nicely. ... show more

  • Decent but horrible
Style: 24 port
Had one of these ones but after you restart your router this thing shuts everything down until your router boots back up and is ready. This is with static IPs and using ethernet cables. It’s decent if you’re starting out but really basic that later switches I owned never did this

  • Ive heard bad things after purchasing
Style: 24 port
Ive heard bad things, but time will tell, this is going inside a house in a climate controlled room , so if it burns up i will be replacing it with a different switch. At this point the quality is there, the rack mount is sturdy, and the switch is working. So 5 stars it gets for now

  • Died but support is awesome!
Style: 24 port
At just one month over 1 year, its dead! Not a good product. ** UPDATE ** The amazon page was erroneously showing a 1 year warranty. I was going to throw the switch and box away when I noticed the box says 3 years warranty! I contacted support and they approved an RMA to have the switch replaced. Took less than 10 minutes to call and get this issue resolved. I would call that awesome support. And they are open 24/7. Very happy with the outcome. I will definitely buy more products from NetGear. ... show more
