Yes, it's a more expensive way to get my fix. I haven't calculated what my French press cost per cup is, but it's certainly cheaper than $6 per day in average (4 x 7.7oz pods between he and I). I love my coffee. I use a drip coffee maker every morning to start the day. But occasionally I like a quick cup in the afternoon, and I have been less than impressed with Keurig when using K Cups at friends' houses. I decided t try an espresso machine. While I have nothing bad to say about this approach, it wasn't for me. Too much mess, prep and cleanup. I returned it, and remembered trying a Nespresso machine in a hotel and loved the convenience, but most of all the coffee it self. I am enjoying this machine, experimenting with the different varieties of pods, the ease of use, the different cup sizes you can choose from, and the lack of any real cleanup. The selections of coffees are great, and they all have a nice froth to finish them off. Note that this takes Vertuo pods which provide more variety than the original Nespresso capsules. ... show more

Last Christmas, I got this machine as a gift for my mom and she loves it! It is a durable machine and after almost a year’s worth of use, there’s not a scratch on it. She also loves how the water tank can move so you can redecorate your coffee stand without worrying about if it is going to not fit. The customer service from Nespresso is also unparalleled; they send you free to use recycling bags so that you can recycle your pods by dropping them off at your local post office (free of charge), have year round deals, and really make the best coffee on this planet!
