  • A good idea, but the design can hinder you.
I liked the idea of having my LED strips lie flat instead of having to create a tangle to go around a corner. They seemed to be OK in concept but it wasn't quite as easy. The issue was to put the strip under the connecting prongs you need to take off the adhesive cover. But when you do that it now sticks to the clips so you cant slide it under the clips with ease, and it makes a bad connection, and can damage the strips. I got a few to work, but after having to redo several feet of wire since the connections got damaged I just went ahead and did it the old way. I think a small design change to allow the adhesive backing to stay on and be able to slip under the contacts would make this product 100% better and easier to use. ... show more

  • It's really not terrible.
I finally put these to use for my gaming desk, and while it was a little annoying to figure out how to slide the LED strips into the connectors, it was really a lot easier than a lot of the reviews are letting you believe. Yeah, it'll scrunch when you try to slide it in, but a little left and right wiggle as you go down helps. Slow and steady and all that. I haven't come across any sort of problems with the lights, and I was super paranoid and tested every, single time I snipped and connected, but again, I literally just finished (mostly, I still need to do one last shelf) my setup and need to give it a test drive for the next week! I'm hoping I won't run into any issues since I need to buy some more, but I'll likely update if anything happens within the next year. Or with the new batch. Hopefully I won't need to! ... show more

  • Follow the directions, exactly.
I bought this for new accent lighting in the living room. I have used similar products before and didn't bother too much with directions. I failed to remove any adhesive (or the removable strip) and inadvertently disfigured some contacts causing parts of one strip to not quite work right. Once I restarted, I had barely enough for one part and even then, I had to use some connectors that were...touchy. So, I reordered another pack so I can finish my project. Still, they are easy to use and I not only bought more, but would recommend them to anyone. ... show more

  • Good Clean looking connectors
5-stars for the price, a clean looking installation. and if you only need 90 degree connection (left or right). These L-connectors makes a nice clean looking installation. Photo-B show the final installation on the LED strip. If you need an angle that is not a straight 90 degree, then a wired connection might be better for you. These L-connector have two piecing pins to prevent the strip from pulling out, making a better secure connection. Other brand just use pressure on the contacts to secure the strip in the connector. Also note that these can be used as a straight connector by inserting the LED strip on both end of the connector without using the L-connect circuit board. After reading all the reviews on this product and other reviews on other brands for LED connectors, it seems that 15% of the reviewers have issue with bad connections via strip not working, cross color, or not all lights working after hooking everything up. After having used these, and initially had a bad connection, I looked at what could be wrong. Then I realized that this is not just a cut, insert, and snap shut the connector process. It will work every time. You need to take the time and do it right. I found it much easier to assemble and test all connections before installation. Test each connection as you add a strip. If doing a room, assemble one corner at a time and test it before sticking it to the wall. After cutting at the proper cut line on the strip, remove the foam adhesive backing on the back side under the copper strips, about a ¼”. (photo-1). You should have a very thin strip to insert into the connector. The connector has a thin slot at the end, that the strip is insert in (photo-2). The strip end is not push into the pins from above. While inserting into the slot, push with the copper strips going under the 4 pressure contacts. This may seem simple, but I notice when pushing in, one contact may go above, not under. Photo-3 shows the bottom connect underneath and not making proper contact. After checking that all 4 copper strips are under the pressure contacts on the connector, give it a wiggle to make good contact and make sure it is all the way in. Insert the L-Connector circuit board (verifying connection) and do the same for the connector at the other end. Make sure the (+) side of the strips are connected. Do not snap shut until the connection has been tested. Things to check for a good connection. 1) Strip is inserted under the lip 2) Copper on strip are under the pressure pin and push all the way in. Wiggle to make a good connection 3) Do the same for the L-connector circuit board 4) (+) are aligned all the way through 5) Apply power and check all lights are working before snapping shut 6) If connection is working, snap shut, I also use a plier and give it a slight squeeze to ensure the two piecing pins are punched into the strip to hold it in place. Photo-4 is photo of proper connection and area to check. Not quite understanding the right and left angle in the reviews and question section. Photo-6 shows the connector being use in a right and left direction angle. Some complain about the labels on the L-board on reversed or the RGB or in different order and therefore not usable. As long as you keep the LED strip (+) connections on the strip connecting to the (+) connections to the LED strip on the other side, the RGB will stay aligned regardless of the labeling on the L-circuit board. See photo-7. This is show that the LED strips (+),R,G,B are in alignment regardless of the connector labeling. These are straight through connections. As long as you align the ends of the LED strips in the same order so that the (+) are lining up, either or top are at the bottom, the rest of the strip will match up. (photo-7) ... show more

  • Serves its purpose
Looked at the instructions and had to get someone to help me figure out how to open and then insert the strips. Definitely need steady hands and patience

  • Compatible with other lights.
I ended up purchasing a spool of adhesive lights from a local liquidation store and found out later that they did not come with dividers or sections, corner connectors, etc. so I started searching and found these. I was a little skeptical about if they would work when they finally arrived because I noticed that the BGR+ color coordinators were different than the ones printed on the light strips that I am using. I was very close to sending them back when I decided to give it a shot and to my surprised they worked just fine. They were definitely easy to install and reusable given there is no adhesive on the back. ... show more

  • Easier than soldering but not as tight
These were very easy to use, but you have to be careful about how thin you make the LED strip to put in it when removing the adhesive and rubber, if it’s waterproof. Overall, they did make installation easier.
