Description

The Nespresso Vertuo coffee and espresso machine brews 4 single-serve cup sizes all with the touch of a button. Each machine includes a complimentary welcome set with a range of Nespresso Vertuo capsules with unique aroma profiles. Nespresso Coffee and Espresso machine by De'Longhi makes use of dual size single-serve capsules for brewing either coffee or espresso with consistent flavor at the touch of a button. Nespresso Vertuo uses large capsule for coffee and small for espresso and has patented Centrifusion extraction technology reads barcode on the rim of compatible single-serve capsules and automatically sets brewing parameters. The Vertuo machine brews five cup sizes: 1.35 oz Espresso, 2.7 oz Double Espresso, 5.0 oz Gran Lungo, and 7.7 oz Coffee. Additional features include an adjustable tray, 54 oz. water reservoir, machine will automatically eject capsules after brewing; holds up to 17 use capsules. Heat up time of only 15-20 seconds and energy- saving automatic shutoff after 9 minutes of inactivity. Bundled with Nespresso's Aeroccino3, provides smooth hot or cold milk froth for your coffee recipes with one touch. It froths all types of milk in a few seconds, without noise or vibration. Each machine includes a complimentary welcome set with a range of Nespresso Vertuo capsules with unique aroma profiles.

Ok, we like the machine, 4 stars, (yay). We like the milk foamer and heater. This is my mistake, I own it, but because I made it, maybe I can help others not. I used a Nespresso machine at a family member's home. Loved the coffee but hated their "large" size coffee which is <8oz. (unless you add creamer). I have a Yeti and using 3 pods seemed wasteful...but hey, NBD.....till I bought this one and missed the reference to number of cup sizes, and promptly went to Nespresso and stocked up on 12 and 18 oz Nespresso pods, (and yes I missed their ref. to needing a "special" + Nespresso machine). I'm gettin' old, what can I say? So I got my machine, heck I made double espresso lattes waiting on my big ol' pods. I got them today and promptly crushed the crap out of a 12 oz Nespresso pod, which I did not notice till later... Course the machine read the bar code and would not make the coffee, it is actually smarter than me, but that ain't saying much at this point. When it did not brew and looked , well, crushed then I removed it and I started to learn about my error. So, if you're good with 8oz of coffee per pod, this is your machine! If not, go to Nespresso, and select your machine there, use the "Helper" they offer to ensure you pick the best machine for YOU! Then check the price. Then come back over here and see if Amz has the machine you want, at the best price. I bought a "used" Nespresso DeLonghi coffee maker from this vendor. ( I have owned 3 other Nespresso coffee machines). I wondered when I pushed the "buy" button what I would actually "get" for a machine listed at more than half off the retail price at Williams Sonoma. If you are on the fence about ordering from this vendor, here's what my experience was like: 1) The machine arrived within 4 days in the original packaging although the item description said it may come in a generic box. 2) The product looked brand-spanking new to me - would never have guessed it was "used" or possibly "repaired". The Coffeemaker itself works like a dream - quiet AND makes a hotter coffee than other Nespresso brands. 3) They sent along sample coffee pods even tho the description said they were not included. 4) AND they sent along a new Nespresso frother completely free of charge. Needless to say I am one happy camper. With free paid return if I didn't like it (I am PRIME) , there is really nothing to risk here and a whole lotta upside at a really great price. ... show more

Extremely overpriced (watch for a while b4 u buy it seems to change daily) and an ongoing expense. I wasn't even a coffee drinker b4 I bought one from another company and sent it back. If u go to starbuck's every day it may save money. It looks nice, the pods are overpriced and Nespresso is slow, their customer service is horrible and about1/2 the time the Vertuo leaks from the tower. Has to be descaled (another cost) and they also sell pods that are too large to work in this particular machine but don't note that on the site. Second to the expense, the annoyance of the company overall was a surprise, slow deliver, messed up orders, disappearing orders, truly truly stupid and rude customer service and one of my faves - coffee that's never in stock or just a one time thing so DON'T like it cuz it's not coming back! WTF? Most of the coffee is simply not good. I like espresso, the double espressos Chiaro and Scuro are good but that's all I like and they're 1.15 a pod. One isn't enough of course so you'll have to brew 2 or 3 and if you drink starbucks style drinks which aren't really coffee anymore, they're coffee flavored drinks, you'll be shelling out $$$$ for syrups, sweeteners and some type of milk (since most barista style pods change flavors when you add milk - all coffee does but some of the Nespresso pods literally change from coffee to caramel?) Just a big waste of money for a new toy. Ok if you want to pay 2k or more a yr for ur coffee habit. I was always glad I didn't drink coffee but here I am - another Nespresso sucker BTW, it's $156 today and I paid $203 - wish the seller offered a price guarantee . . . ... show more
