  • So easy to put up.
Color: Teal
We used to take our 10'x10' expandable canopy that took 2 people to get it up at the beach because of wind. It was heavy, took up much space and hard to get into it's case - outside of metal rusting is salt air. Was going to the beach and was going to rent a canopy. Looked online at beach rental for this type of canopy (didn't want the one that the wind keeps the back side up - too much noise) and it was $90 for the day. It was just 2 of us and looked at this Neso brand, 9'x 9' that was only $40 more to buy and thought, "Why waste money on years to come." It looked high quality and was so easy to put up, comes in a light weight small bag that can't be more than 5 lbs with poles inside. What I like most about this kind of shade is, the footings are so far out, it keeps people from setting up RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. Some instructions and video's show laying out the whole thing before filling footings with sand. If it's real windy, it will be hard to keep it in place. I would fill one front footing (facing the beach), then stretch the other front side over and fill it - but not digging a hole down into the beach yet. Stretch out the back footings one at a time to fill. Once filled, move and highly stretch out to where you want it. Then dig a big hole for the footings to sit in and cover with that sand. Only have to that if it's VERY windy. Just lift the front, put the poll about 1 to 2 feet from front edge, stabilize polls at an angle (depending on wind) and Whaa-Laa! Taking down is faster. Am going to use when camping in state parks (no wind) and just put rocks in the footings. Would think you need to be careful not to snag the material around trees - we'll see. The 9'X9' is great for up to 3 people, but could fit maybe 2 more if you purchase another set of poles (What I'm going to do for next trip) for the back to make a big off the ground square. Definitely worth the money and saved our keister's from sunburn. ... show more

  • So easy to use!
Color: Shibori
I bought this beach shelter for my daughter who lives near the beach. She recently broke her arm and has a long recovery ahead. She wasn't able to manage the other shelters she had due to their weight and manipulation needed to assemble. This product was the perfect gift to allow her to still enjoy the beach, be protected from the sun and assemble without help. So lightweight that she can carry it one-handed. It is so pretty as it flows in the wind. Great product for many reasons. ... show more

  • Good in low to moderate wind, flimsy pole
Color: Rainbow
We got this for an Outer Banks vacation, with the hope that we could continue to use it at home around the Great Lakes. It worked great at Lake Michigan, but could not handle high wind at the Atlantic, and needed lots of managing in moderate wind. We spent a lot of time tweaking which poles were in which corners. But it worked when the brother's Shibumi couldn't get enough wind. Easier setup and sturdier than other cornered tents on the beach. In the sea of Shibumi, it really stood out and got lots of compliments. However the plastic stand of one pole was broken with the second use. No idea how. It still worked ok, but seemed disappointingly fragile. ... show more

  • Works pretty good!
Color: Aqua Fronds
Bought this for beach trips - figured I'd get my own shade and save the money on not having to rent them. Used it for the first time in Clearwater Florida a couple weeks ago, and it worked pretty good! Easy to set up for sure. The only reason I took off one star is that it was pretty windy the day we were there, and the wind did knock down the poles several times. Not a huge deal to put them back up, but it did get a little annoying having to readjust quite a few times. We could've changed the entire direction of the shade, but then we wouldn't have been able to look at the ocean. Overall, glad I bought it. Kept us in the shade for sure, and light and easy to carry around. ... show more

  • The best beach tent
Color: Whales
We absolutely loved this tent! It’s great shade for the beach. It significantly cooler underneath and to the touch than a traditional canopy. It was a great size for our family. The material is very stretchy and lightweight. It travels very well and it easy to set up. We did learn that you have to stretch it tighter than you’d think in order to make it more secure. You also have to really fill the sand bags, but the sand doesn’t stick to either which was very nice. You do have to angle it so the wind blows through it which was easy. It held up great to the wind once we figured that out. When it did fall down it was no big deal you just set the poles back up. You don’t have to chase it like an umbrella. I would 100% buy this product again ... show more
