Innovative Roast-Ryte™ Technology uses infrared heating elements to evenly cook a turkey. The center heating element cooks from the inside out as the outer heating elements rotate heat around the turkey, maintaining the moisture on the inside while searing the skin to a golden-brown on the outside. This oil-free, easy-to-use vertical roaster can cook up to an 18-lb. bird in less than two hours, reducing cooking times by up to 40% versus a conventional oven. You’ll never have to worry about overcooking your bird, as the easy-to- read control panel has a digital timer as well as a preprogrammed 120-minute turkey setting with auto-off function. Illuminated lights indicate when the heating elements are on and cycling and the glass cover allows for convenient viewing during use without removing the lid and letting heat escape. Removable and dish washer safe, the cooking stand drip tray collects all unwanted turkey drippings and the interior surface is nonstick making clean-up quick. This upright roaster is lightweight and includes side handles for safe and comfortable handling. Place the turkey or roast on the center probe, turn on the roaster and check the meat temperature in about an hour. Ours usually takes 2 hours or slightly less. I am the best cook in the family,but I am no chef. On the holidays I make and cater the hole family feast, an the turkey is often the tricky part. THIS WORKS AS ADVERTISED! I made an 18 lb perfect turkey in 1 hr 47 minutes. SWEET! Important note : Use a leave in thermometer inserted in the turkey breast (one with an achieved temperature alert is best) in case you set the timer to long. Also important is that the drippings catch tray collects plenty of juices for making fabulous gravy, just be sure to have a large open pot or bole to pour it in to. Keep a steady hand when removing the drippings tray and go slow as the drippings are very hot and the tray tips easily. Preparation is everything with this appliance, once you push the button and cover this don't touch it until it is done ! If you were like me you will need to figure out a way to make the stuffing outside the turkey.; A hack I found is that if you are using a frozen turkey sealed in a plastic bag, cut open the bag so that it drains in to a large pot or bole. The liquid is just a mix of blood and water. Use this liquid in your stuffing recipe to add the turkey flavor and then bake or prepare it as usual. Drawbacks : It's really big! As they suggest "KEEP THE BOX AND FOAM PACKAGING" for storage. It is not something you will be leaving out year round on the kitchen counter. ... show more

Bought this in 2020, have done about six turkeys and they all come out perfect. My wife bought a couple that were 20-22 lbs but they still work, you just have to increase the heat time, 6 min/lb. I always leave mine in for a little longer than recommended just to make sure they're done, but they have all come out moist and delicious. I do it on porch and clean up the next day. Keeps inside ovens free for all the other stuff we have to make. ... show more

It worked as expected. Bonus points: no propane or peanut oil needed. My turkey came out beautiful and juicy. I just had to cook it an additional 15 minutes. The only thing I did not like was trying to remove the drip pan. Next time I will use a turkey baster to remove some liquid so it doesn't spill.
