Neretva Espresso Machine ★★★★★ (5.0 Stars!) "This looks more sophisticated than our last one!", observes my better half as we unbox our new espresso machine from Neretva. And it does make a great cup of espresso, too! Presented in an aesthetically-pleasing all stainless steel white, it looks sophisticated with an actual pressure extraction gauge instead of the usual red LED light in other machines to indicate that the machine is ready with just the right pressure for a good espresso. (approx. 9 bars or 130 PSI) Preparation & Espresso Brewing. After unboxing and removing various protective shipping materials, we rinse the portafilter and included milk cup, fill the water reservoir, then turn the machine on, and run it to rinse out the water system, twice. We do the same to rinse out the frothing wand. We load the portafilter with our favorite dark roast espresso and tamp it lightly. (A tamper is not included in the set, but using a tablespoon would do if a tamper is not available.) Turn the machine on. The top of the machine can also be used as a cup warmer. We take two pre-warmed cups and place both side by side under the double spout. Once on, the pressure gauge needle starts to move to indicate the pressure build up. When the reading reaches about 9 bars (in the center of the gauge), press the coffee start button for either one or two cups. Milk Frothing. For espresso with milk, the machine includes a frothing wand, which is control by the knob on the side of the machine with simple controls. On /off, plus knob left or right to increase /decrease steam pressure. Prewarm milk to about 150°F (65°C), and fill the milk cup to about 1/3 to allow the milk to expand and froth. Turn the froth wand on, adjust pressure if needed, then carefully froth the milk. (Caution: The frothing steam is extremely hot.) It will take a little practice to get right amount and balance for a good cappuccino, latter or macchiato, like a good barista. As with as all kitchen appliances, clean-up after use is essential to maintain cleanliness and that the machine remains in good working condition. This review is for the Neretva Espresso Machine, 1450W Stainless Steel Coffee and Espresso Maker Combo with Milk Frother 15Bar Visible Pressure Guage Espresso Coffee Machine for Espresso/Latte/Cappuccino/Home Barista-White. So this is one snazzy looking espresso machine! And it's more than just pretty sitting on my counter as it makes yummy espresso/coffee drinks! I do have to point out I laughed when I looked at the tag on it in the listing when you zoom in on it. I'm not going to spoil it by telling you what it says, look for yourself LOL. This machine is easy to set up and really easy to use. Love this has the cup warmers on top! Never had one with that before. This comes with a nice little milk frother pitcher. If you want to use a larger one you'll need to use a stand to put it up on to get more room under the frother wand. When unboxing it initially make sure you wash/rinse everything well that can be, then run 2 or 3 plain water cycles through it all assembled to fully flush it before making any types of coffee drinks. You can brew a single cup or 2 at a time, or 1 bigger one for yourself! LOL. Make sure you clean this right away when done using it, especially the milk frother tube! These machines are expensive, you want to keep it in good working condition for as long as possible. If you're still unsure that you can make good espresso, coffee, latte', cappucinno... go watch some vids on youtube, and just go to it! There's many factors that affect the final outcome, so it will take some trial and error to tweek it for your personal tastes. I’ve been using this Espresso Machine (in white) for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! It’s compact and doesn’t take up much counter space—perfect for a small kitchen. Despite its size, it packs a punch with a powerful 15-bar pressure system, and the visible pressure gauge gives it a nice professional touch while also being useful. One of my favorite features is the cup warmer on top—it keeps my espresso cups warm, which makes a big difference for flavor and experience. The machine heats up quickly and comes with everything you need to start brewing right away (except cups, of course). The built-in milk frother is also a great addition. It comes with a silicone cover for safe handling and moves back and forth, making it easy to use. However, my one complaint is the length of the frother stem—when the machine is on the counter, it’s a little awkward to get a milk cup underneath. You have to tip the cup to slide it in and out, which can get tricky if it's full. That said, the included instructions are very clear, including troubleshooting tips and cleaning guidance, especially for the frother, which I appreciated. Overall, it’s a sleek, user-friendly espresso machine that delivers high-quality coffee at home without taking over your kitchen.
