I first noticed it was hard to start. Thought it would get better as it broke in. But it didn't. in fact, it only got worse. Plus it doesn't always want to stay at idle. Stalls upon giving throttle. Now I went to start it and the pull cord broke off. I won't buy another Neotec brand

First thing to do when you get this saw is take the intake boot off where it meets they cylinder, and open up the gasket for the fresh air port (upper closed off port) into the intake side of the cylinder. Saw ran and cut as advertised,, instructions good be better as I have stuff left over and have no idea where they go or what they're for.. chain is a little aggravating and along with instructions I couldn't give it 5 stars

    • The Chinese do not stand behind their products
The saw was DOA. Amazon would not let me return it and forced me to beg the manufacturer instead and the Chinese just keep providing me with mealy-mouthed non-email responses. Tomorrow will be two months. I have learned my lesson and will only buy legitimate saws from legitimate vendors going forward. ... show more

    • Two Tanks of Gas and Squealing
Slight stronger than the Craftsman it was to replace, but sending it back as it's squealing intermittently after two tanks of gas. Not certain if it's the clutch or engine. CAUTION: They delay in responding so you cannot send this saw back. I contacted customer support (overseas), it took 3 weeks for a response and then they ask what's wrong with it when you have already given them all the info. I will never buy another Neotec saw again, there is ZERO warranty and subpar build. Amazon should be ashamed selling these. ... show more
