This saw is awesome. 4 pulls right out of the box and she fired right up. Previous reviews said the idle was set too high. If they read the book they would have seen that it comes pre-set from the factory with the idle set high for the break in period. Gota run it at the high idle speed for 2 tanks then dial it back. I bought this to use with my Alaskan mill. Heading out tomorrow to cut some boards. Follow up review to follow.

This saw requires Leaded fuel only, otherwise the saw gets damaged. If you live in a state like CA, you can't get fuel for the saw. It also has a manual oiler, which is not stated in the description. The saw seems to be amazing other that the fact that we can't use it here. The company is charging us for the return, even though we explained the situation and ordered a different saw from them that we can actually operate in Calif. Yes you can purchase additives to add lead to your fuel, which will be costly, but if you can remove the ethane from the gas, the saw still gets damaged. The company needs to put these specs in the description, so the purchaser knows exactly what they are getting

This is the heaviest chain saw I have ever lifted coming in at a whopping 45# without gas or oil, returning it. Similar saws are about 18-20# much lighter and easier to use. Seller does not say the weight of the saw in any ad.

Nice machine except for the fact that the manufacturer failed to assemble the throttle linkage correctly to the carburetor. The idle adjustment screw wasn't even touching the throttle body which basically meant the butterfly valve was partially open allowing air to flow into the carb into (in turn, causing the extremely high idle speed). Needless to say, initial startup caused an extremely high idle which, in turn, resulted in the chain getting too hot too fast before I could even make any necessary adjustments to the bar oil ratio. I basically had to take it apart, connect the throttle linkage to the proper location of the carb/throttle bottle and now its fine. Either way, just something that could be easily avoided and if they don't fix this problem on the assembly end of things, eventually, someone is going to get hurt. I reached out to them but their response did not provide any feedback which suggested they would look into the discrepancy. So with that said, I'm still keeping it, I just wish it would have came in assembled correctly from the manufacturer. On a side note, them questioning my capacity to properly operate this machine is demeaning and upsetting in a sense that they basically don't listen to the consumer. If it doesn't work as it should, they basically say, "oh well you did it wrong, if you want a refund let us know or call a technician for technical support". Little do they know, I have more than enough experience in mechanics that I was able to locate the problem myself and fix it without the aid of technical support. Was an easy fix that could have been easily avoided had they assembled it correctly the first time around.

Even though I base my purchases off of reviews I hate to admit that I rarely take the time to write one. I felt I needed to do so to promote this saw. I was on the fence to pull the trigger like I’m guessing you are but I’m glad I took the leap. This saw is solid and doesn’t look or feel cheap to me at all. I did swap the spark plug out for an NGK and seated the high and low carb settings to zero, I then set both to 1 and a quarter turn before my initial start up. It started on the second pull and with a few minor tweaks it was dailed in like a Swiss watch. The power is incredible and it will idle all day if I let it. I will update my review if I come across any hiccups with it but for now I am more than pleased with my purchase of this saw!!!!!!

Bought this Item as a gift for my boyfriend. He opened it and it doesn't work/run. Now we can't get customer service on the phone nor will they allow us to return it for a refund. This Product is definitely not a product you want to purchase. I know because of this bad review other potential buyer won't get to see it. For shame.. $500 wasted.

I've had no problems with this saw. It runs a bit rich but I believe that's by design until the piston is well broken in. I'll lean out the mixture in a few weeks. I did have to research the bar oiler because it was not oiling sufficiently for a 36" bar. I backed the oiler screw out about 1/2 turn and things are better. The data was available on the internet for the Stihl 070, which is essentially the same saw.

This is the perfect saw for an Alaskan mill, been using it to mill some 24" to 32" pine. Has plenty of power and runs great.
