  • Buy this saw immediately!
Style: NH872 with 24'' Bar/Chain
This saw is AMAZING for the price and worked perfectly out of the box after some little assembly. I’ve used it to clear and buck about half an acre of dense forest so far without it skipping a beat. From what I can tell, it’s exactly the same as a Husqvarna 372xp. I “rebadged” it so I remember what replaent parts to buy for it lol! It starts on the first pull after choke or every time and starts on the absolute first pull if it’s still warm. I mix 40:1 ethanol free gas and Amsoil Saber oil and it runs perfectly with awesome power through the cut. I bet it could run a 32” or 36” bar no problem; I have a 24” on it now. They even provided a replacement bolt to change out the decompression button which I did because I’m a fairly strong guy and don’t need the assist from it. The bar that came with it seems fine and good quality, but I put an Oregon powercut bar on it just to have two. The sellers seem very friendly and helpful, they have texted me a couple times checking in to make sure the saw is working well and to let them know if I have any issues. I haven’t had any issues so far! ... show more

  • Buy it, you won't regret it!!!
Style: NH872 with 28'' Bar/Chain
Very good machine, good power, nothing to envy from the more expensive brands. If you need a good saw for occasional work, this is a very good option. Good price and good performance; it met my expectations.

  • Nh872 review
Style: NH872 with 28'' Bar/Chain
Still getting the saw broke in. Can't get the carburetor adjusted correctly and the chain oiler is not working properly. Taking it to the shop to have it adjusted and serviced/inspected hoping it is all minor stuff. If so it's an amazing value and will be a real work horse. Starts very easily, idles great, cuts well for how it is running ... show more

  • Great saw! BIG! This is like cutting trees down with a moped!!
Style: NH872 with 24'' Bar/Chain
After warming up the saw I wanted see how well it cut. I must say I was impressed!!! By a number of things! 1 - it went through trees like butter - my 18” had difficulty with. 2 - it runs smooth and not near as loud as I expected. Don’t get me wrong it’s a big saw but engine sounds good - not all noisy. 3 - the cut width and power is crazy good. Best thing about it is I did not have to apply any pressure. It chewed right through the trees with minimal effort. And last I must say this is the first saw I could cut clean through a large tree putting a 30% notch on one side then cut slightly higher on other side till about 5-10% of the cut was left and at that point the tree just fell right where the cut was perpendicular to. Let me hit target every time so far. Now the sad part is I have a lot more trees to clean up and chop up since it drops them so fast!! ... show more

  • CAUTION: RECIEVED WITH SERIOUS INTERNAL CYLINDER BORE ISSUES THAT TYPICALLY COMES FROM VERY POOR....
Style: NH872 with 24'' Bar/Chain
I was very concerned about the manufacturing quality After reading so many bad reviews from customers that were reporting having problems with the motors so I decided that I would look inside of the cylinder bore with a borescope inspection camera before I fueled it or ran the motor to see what I was dealing with. July 2024 Update: ***They Now have let me know that they have special (undocumented from what I can find) "After Sales Policies" that are limiting the service and repair fees? I asked the seller for clarification of where they are pulling these new (After Sales Policies from) that are limiting their warranty repair charges to $65 , including parts and Labor???, but so far they have not been able to provide me with any details as of yet??? Very Sad! After several inquiries to the seller about where I could find the full list of there Very Important After Sales Policies they never provided me with any of their written policies, but they would not pay for the required repair because "it was more than there "After Sales Policy" (that I was unable to get a copy of) would allow for. I contacted Amazon Customer service and after they reviewed the conversations with the seller, they provided me with a full refund for this product, So Please be aware of what you are dealing with here and fully inspect, inside and out, the saw before fully accepting it, or you may be seriously disappointed with it's performance and longevity!!! *** Local service, When I inquired about having my saw repaired at their local service center they informed me that it has been closed, yet I do see that they are still advertising this local service in their listing? When I inquired as to what repair parts that they are keeping in stock locally for this saw there was no reply to this question so I can only surmise that they are not keeping any parts in stock for repair of these saws? For the cylinder and piston that my saw requires they directed me to another vendor who was selling this part. WOW, did I see some possible issues. I saw many noteworthy scratches and gouges in the cylinder, in both the vertical and horizontal directions, which indicates to me that there could be some serious manufacturing quality issues? The vertical scratches (with the pistons travel) could come from some sharp unchampfered edges, not cleaning out all of the metal shavings from the manufacturing process, or poor/dirty assembly practices. More disturbing than this was the gouges in the cylinder walls that must have been made during the machining process, which could happen, but I would never assemble and motor with a new cylinder that had gouges in it??? The edges of the cylinder ports looked very sharp as though they had not been champfered, and some of the ports had chips missing along their edges. I would highly recommend that you inspect your cylinders before operating. U could get a good one? It could be interesting to see what might be found in crankcase area of the motors? I know that my motor has been test run before at the factory, but with the issues that I saw in my motor it would difficult for me to expect any kind of normal longevity from it, besides this, I feel that it is very unlikely that the motor that I received would produce its full rated output power. Please also note that these motors have been run before you receive them. You can tell this from the carbon residue in the exhaust port, so if there was in foreign debris left in them from the manufacturing process then it is likely that it has already been "worked into" the moving parts. At least some of the really "serious flaws" should have been caught from the test run? This chainsaw is supposed to be a copy of the old Husqvarna 372XP, but I would not expect that any of these machining and manufacturing issues were customary in the production of the Husqvarna 372XP. Some people reported that their saws ran fine, so maybe its just the luck of your draw? Good Luck!!! ... show more

  • My new go-to-saw
Style: NH872 with 28'' Bar/Chain
I should have bought this saw long--ago. This larger saw goes through logs in a fraction of the time of a smaller saw--effortlessly. Been using chainsaws for a while, has a compression valve, my first saw with one of these. When I first started the saw I used the compression valve but I have not used it since, starts so easy. The larger bar (28inch) took a while to come in the mail but was in no hurry (but did make sure it was shipped) I thought about getting the 36inch bar but ultimately went with the practicality of the 28inch bar (that I use all the time without having to worry about the weight of a larger bar). According to the forest service rules chainsaws are to use only bio bar oil such as vegetable oil which I have been using for many years without issue. Keep it clean, keep it sharp, don't get your blade pinched, wear your mesh faceshield and other safety gear, be mindful of your cutting area at all times (so you don't cut yourself), and enjoy your work. Been Using this saw since 2022 it's now the End of Janruary 2025, just replaced the clutch and should have replaced the oiling wormgear too. Manually pour vegetable oil on the bar once or twice a tank especially when cutting 36 inch plus diameter logs. This is the only saw I use, been doing 10 to 15 cords per year for firewood and for my sawmill. Mainly been cutting Douglas Fir and Maple. Still starts everytime when I need it to work, minimum 3 hours. Use 25:1 all the time. Been having some throttle cut out issues mainly in the cold (piston rings, I'm assuming) but once it warms up it's good. Thinking about buying another, eventually. ... show more

  • NH872 is a pretty good saw
Style: NH872 with 28'' Bar/Chain
I have been using this chainsaw for a couple of weeks now. Heavy use, bucking big trees and cutting stumps and roots. It is very good. I was surprised is starts easy, it's efficient with fuel, and the chain adjuster works. That's what I've been looking for. My first NEO-TEC had problems. I'm not so skeptical now. ... show more
