    • Works great in the pond and for thick brush
The media could not be loaded. Quick easy install, works great for mulching down blackberries and cattails. Used under water to chop back stalks, dropped some small trees no problem. Video is after about 10-15mins of work. Bushes 5 ft tall.

Interior package was pretty beat up, with loose items in the envelope. I think everything is there. I would suggest filing the teeth before use.

    • A portable buzzsaw!
If only there were more than five stars ...! I need to push back the jungle on our 10 acres of scrub timber, so installed this kit on my Stihl gas trimmer today. Installation took a little bit of experimenting, as I didn't receive any detailed instructions with the "one size fits all" kit. Eventually, I got it figured out and put together ... and pulled the starter rope. Whoa baby! That thing wants to take down trees! After trying it with some large southern grapevines and scrub brush, I decided to try it on a 5" sap-gum tree. After just a few seconds, that tree fell over! While I don't plan to use this trimmer blade to log my timber, I'm confident that it will handle any brush, vines or branches I feed to it. And the three included round files will make it possible to keep the teeth sharp, whatever they're eating. ... show more

    • Actually works.
Against my better judgment, as I was tired of fighting with my chainsaw, I got this. Installation wasn't much different than swapping out the line head for my heavy grass head. Using it feels... wierd, but it works. I'd prefer a chainsaw, but when my saw doesn't want to run, this will do.

    • works on my ego
This works very well on my ego power-head trimmer. I don't think I would try it on my regular ego string trimmer as it doesn't have as much power; but the power-head has plenty of power to use this chain-saw style blade to full effect. I use this to cut-down small saplings, Japanese honeysuckle clumps, and even trees up to 6" when I didn't feel like stooping over with a chainsaw for hours on end. I've used '3 bladed' brush cutters blades too. They work well for smaller stuff like wild-rose, but don't work well on stuff much over 1". I've also tried a circular saw-blade but they tend to cut very slow and overheat [which makes them get dull very quickly]. This chain saw style blade cuts fast and can easily be sharpened in the field. This chain-saw style blade works great on thick brush. It's slower than a brush blade on stuff less than 1", but works much better than a brush blade when you get into the ticker/1"+ stuff like saplings and small trees - and it sure beats bending over with a chainsaw for hours on end when clearing thick brush. ... show more
