Wireless lavalier microphones are a necessity for clean, clear voice recordings when the subject isn't near the recording device. Don't settle for the tinny, low-quality, echoes you get when you try to use your phone's built-in microphone while recording video and sound from across the room. They're also useful for Zoom calls on a laptop and as an alternative to the built-in mic while using speakerphone on a cell phone, so there are a lot of good applications for this type of microphone. This microphone set couldn't be any easier to use. Simply connect the receiver to the USB C port on your phone or other device and turn on one or both of the microphone transmitters and you're good to go. You can hold a mic/transmitter or attach it to your clothing. Battery life is suitable for nearly every application other than maybe marathon (i.e. all day or super long) livestreaming or podcasting or similar. For most users the battery life will be more than sufficient. I have used this for phone calls using speakerphone on my cell phone to improve sound quality and reduce some background noise (like typing, other voices, etc.) and it works well for that. I take calls all day for work and I wanted to improve the speakerphone (i.e. hands-free-for-me) sound experience for my customers without having to resort back to using a headset. The mics are tiny and lightweight which makes them easy to wear. The value proposition is compelling considering this set is reasonably priced and effective. I've used Neewer brand photography equipment, including flash, flash trigger, flash diffuser, and light reflectors, and have always been impressed with their product quality.

The Neewer Wireless lav kit is pretty solid for the price point. It's simple plug and play with no apps or adjustments that need to be done. The audio quality is quite good. Most phones nowadays have very good mics if you position them 8 inches from your mouth, and I think my Samsung s10+ mic is slightly better quality than this Neewer. But, of course, you buy this kit because you can't always place the phone 8 inches away from what you're recording, and when you need to have the mic at a distance, this is a fine option. I tested the transmission up to 50 feet and then turned my back on the phone (to break line of sight) and the signal held strong. The wind muff is a little futsy to get on, but once attached holds well and does the usual job of reducing (but not eliminating) wind noise. Based on the picture, I thought the magnets would be larger, but they're quite small (maybe 1/3rd of an inch wide). They also hold well. If you put the mic on the inside of your shirt, with the magnet on the outside, it reduces the visual footprint of the mic considerably. If you have audio mastering skills you won't want to use the noise reduction function; but if you're using the sound "out of the box" in very noisy environments it does better than I expected. The case is good quality, though much bigger than you need for these tine units.

Highlights • Super simple, easy to connect, easy to use • For the price, a pretty clean recording • Can simultaneously charge both mics using the same Y shaped charging cord • Sound mufflers fit snugly into place on the mics • Compact, zippered case holds everything • Receiver uses a USB-C connector to connect to your phone or computer - literally just plug in and turn it all on and it just works There's really not much to write about this dual mic system that simply works as desired and creates good recordings. Before doing an important recording, just be sure to test out your mic input and recording levels and you'll find your sweet spot for your voice pretty quickly. Though it does not contain a portable USB charger (that plugs into an outlet), the kit has all you need outside of that: 2 mics, 2 magnets for holding the mics in place on your clothing, a dual charging cable (charge both mics at once), sound mufflers, and a carrying case. This mic system is as simple as it gets: you plug in the receiver to your recording device then turn on the mics by pressing the button on each. Within moments they connect. I tried connecting the receiver through a USB-C to Lightning connector for my older iphone by it did not work properly, probably because the cable wasn't supplying power to the connector. I only suggesting buying this product if you plan to connect it directly to your device. The mics catch more sound than just what is right in front of them, giving a bit more of an atmosphere to the recordings than a more narrowly focused recording field. I've preferred how my voice sounds through these mics to the corded Apple headphones and find it more to my liking than my 3-4 year old Blue Yeti podcast mic. This mic system would be great for interviews on the go or for folks simply wanting an easy way to record themselves. The blue lights on the front of the mic are quite bright. I'm considering placing a light dimming sticker on them if I ever want to wear them during a video recording.

I'm used to NEEWER putting out good gear and this is no exception. These Lav mics have good range, good battery life, good sound for small mics. Wind screens attach easily. On the plus side, the carrying case is amazingly good. On the minus, the transmitter / receiver does NOT fit on a phone with a thick protective case like the LifeProof Fre. You will need a USB-C extender cable in order to use it in such a manner. Not a big deal for most applications but something to bear in mind. Fortunately the included carrying case will fit an extender cable as well.

These lavalier microphones works very well indoors and outdoors. They work with just the native apps on your iPhone, as much as it works with pro apps. The battery last for all-day usages.
