For those reviewers complaining that these are not blackout curtains - you’re right! They’re not supposed to be blackout curtains! Nowhere does it claim they are blackout curtains! These are ROOM DARKENING curtains. Look at the second photo in the listing. It shows you that there are 4 levels of curtains - light filtering, room darkening, blackout, and 100% blackout. See the gold border around “room darkening”? It tells you what level these curtains are. So, for those of you looking for “room darkening” curtains - these are great! I bought this curtain bc it was cheap. I needed a taupe curtain - any shade of taupe would do. WOW did I underestimate this product. This is one beautiful curtain, people. It's practically free but it doesn't look it. The fabric is simply gorgeous. The taupe color is actally spot on with the screen display. Does it darken the room or block light? Can't help you there. I bought this curtain to cover a wierd placed & unsightly closet in my bedroom of my 1944 built house. The closet is roomy and very functional - just quite ugly from the outside. I opted to camoflage it as a window. Since there's no actual window behind my ECLIPSE, I can't say yay or nay on its room darkening. My only "complaint" is that these curtains have limited length options. I don't like the base boards to show - reminds me of pants that aren't Capri length - just regular length pants that someone too tall is wearing & the pants are obviously just too short. I wanted at least 96" - preferred 108" to puddle - but these curtains came in 84" max. The curtain is so pretty that I'm taking that "too short pants" look in stride...better than that closet door. So no stars subtracted. My curtain rod is 1.25". The rod pocket DID NOT allow that. So I had to hang the curtain upside down...I had to (force it) hang it using the hem as the rod pocket. The hem is slightly bigger than the rod pocket. It probably says 1" rods but I wasn't going to buy a new rod - defeats the point of buying a cheap curtain. No stars subtracted. All in all? I am LOVING not seeing that hideous closet door & i stead, seeing this beautiful cutain!! Yes...everything (except the curtain rod itself) covering the closet door came from this site. Final close-up is everything together. It's all 5 star INEXPENSIVE (especially those finials...that's my 3rd set!). My bedroom is very simplistic in shades of white/tan trimmed in bronzed nickel or plain nickel. Accent color comes from throw pillows - or something (got tired of swapping comforters). So the sand vs taupe contrast of the extra long sheers with this curtain is fab in mt scheme. The sheers, the rod finials & the ceiling rod holder bars have reviews, too. ... show more

I bought the 84 inch long blush color curtains because it said room darkening. The blush color was perfectly accurate. The were quite wrinkled but once pressed they look very nice. They are thinner and lighter weight than I thought. I would not call these room darkening curtains. Light definitely comes through. I walked around the outside at night to see the curtains from outside and the room lights shine through somewhat. The window is massive and too large for a roll up shade and why I went with curtains. I am keeping them because they do look nice and don't weigh down the curtain rod. But if you want to completely block the light, go with blackout curtains. ... show more

Color Blush (Pale Pink) fades to bluish gray in low light. Thin material allows soft light to pass through. The curtains aren't thermal or insulated. Got these at half price so bought 2 panels (54x84) for a 54"W door. So basically doubled up thus providing more dimming and insulation. If I bought them for blackout I would return them. They fall just short of 84". I was hoping they would puddle at the bottom they do not. ... show more

I like the color blue, the curtain blocks light without total blackout. Material is soft, but you will need to iron the wrinkles out. I use a curtain ring to hang, but They have one small area for your rod. I only paid 7$ for a panel a steal. I used them in my sitting room. I have a deferent color in my family room. ... show more

These are beautiful curtains and would be great for a non-bedroom or somewhere that doesn't have daylight all summer. They are not blackout. The picture was taken at noon in south-cental Alaska in mid-November on a sunny day when the sun was outside the window. This curtain is on the left in the picture and our current blackout curtain is on the right. Our current ones are floor length and we are trying to replace them with shorter ones that don't end up pooled at the head of our bed. I'm returning these and will have to keep looking. ... show more
