I have yet to test this in the field, but in my studio, it is performing as expect. Neewer delivers, as usual, in both build quality and performance. They may not always have the latest "neato" features, but they have consistently delivered great products to me time and time again. I'm already planning to pick up their slightly larger battery for my documentary coming up next month. As far as features go, with a battery, you need to know just a few things...battery level, discharge rate, and time till exhaustion. The Neewer delivers on 2 out of those 3. The time left is simple math anyway but it's nice to know. If you're a new videographer or someone who's on a limited budget, Neewer is a great brand. I have just as many of their products as I do Apple products in my studio and, like Apple, they've always been solid. Don't sleep on Neewer. In almost all cases they're just as good (or better) than the more well-known 3rd party brands.

So glad I stumbled upon this battery. This has been a life saver! I use it for work to power some filmmaking gear, and this single small battery is able to power my slider motor, the remote head, and the video transmission. What makes it even better is that you don’t need a separate charger. Just use the usb-c plug. This is so much better than the old school v-mount batteries than needed a huge charger. That’s a lot of money saved right there. For such a small size, it’s got a lot of powering options- usb-c, usb-a, 12v, 8v. Its awesome. Might get a second one.

I have several brands of V-mount batteries. These are fantastic. I know Neewer has always been known as the generic/ clone brand but I have to say they have turned things around and are producing some great products. 10/10

Didn’t realize how much I needed these. Battery life seems to be good so far… I see it trickle down if it’s not used within a week… but it’s so small. Functionally works with d-tap and usb c ports, design is compact and fits the mini v clamps. I got it on sale and I loved it so much that I bought a second just in case.

Everything works as advertised, but the Dtap location is terrible!!!! I can’t use it with a RED camera, or my Amaran light because the port is constantly blocked by the device it’s powering. Really hope they fix the location is a later version because i’d love to buy more.
