I am pleased with my Gator Tonneau cover. I have had it about six weeks and am not disappointed at all. Installation was not difficult but took longer than the suggested time for instal but not that much. I recommend watching the YouTube videos on installation to visualize how it will go. Instructions were not bad but video was very helpful. It took me several tries to get the distance between the side rails correct so there was no gap near the interface with the tailgate. Kind of expected that and once I got it right, no further issues. In a heavy rain, a couple tablespoons of water can seep in but way better than an open bed. Really a non-issue. Only installed one canister drain tube as I had one pre-drilled hole in the bed and didn't want to drill another unless it proved necessary. Again, a non-issue. This cover meets my expectations and at this price point I am very satisfied. Being very picky not giving it 5 stars across the board. Way to geaux Gator! ... show more

The instructions were pretty easy to understand. The parts were very good quality. It locks in place, fits well. The hatch closes easily with the lid closed and there is rubber weatherstripping on the edge. As soon as I installed the cover I ran it through mu local carwash. I opened the hatch and there was about 1/2 cup of water that had found its way inside the bed. It isn’t completely waterproof but I don’t think any cover is. ... show more

I bought the Gator Recoil Retractable Truck Bed Tonneau Cover. I think it looks really nice. The instructions were garbage but the install video was super helpful, took me 50 minutes to set up on my own. It's frustrating paying $800 and it not being perfect, I was really hoping there was no gap between the cover and the tail gate but it looks like i'm out of luck (see photo). If I had paid $400-600, I would be happy. I have not used it in the rain or snow, so will update review when I have. ... show more

After getting a quote of almost double here at my local dealer, I found this at $700 and free shipping. I have no experience with tools and was afraid I was gonna struggle installing it. I watched the video and it looked simple enough. ACTUALLY it was even easier, the video shows 1 or 2 steps more and when I opened the cover it had some stuff already installed! So it took me about an hour but that was just 1 person. If 2 people do it , it can be done in 30 mins! ... show more

It’s worth the money. Before this one I bought a BAKflip and it was 2 times as much. But never fit right. This product is a much try for the price. I absolutely love my GATOR top. Worth every penny.

The media could not be loaded. I looked at several different hard tonneau covers and decided on the Gator EFX based on reviews and I am very pleased I did. Because the price is lower than other competitor's products, I was wondering what shortcuts they may have taken to get such a low price point. I can say I am very impressed with the quality and the installation was easy with only a 1/2" socket was needed. This thing fits perfectly on my 2019 Colorado with the 5'2" bed. If I have any issues, I will post a followup to this review, but so far it is amazing! ... show more

I tried a lower brand on Amazon. They said it fit but it did not fit. When I sent it back they even charged me a restocking fee of 10 percent. You get what you pay for do not go with any other cover

I bought this product because it was top of the line and i did not want to cheap out on a nice product for my truck. It was pretty easy to install, but after driving across the country i have had to tighten the clamps FULLY THREE different times. They do not grip and cause the railings to slide down the inside of my truck bed. Which ultimately doesnt allow my truck gate to close. Very dissapointed in this product. If i am paying $700 i should not have to adjust these once every month. Not to mention that the rubber had started melting after a 90 degree day. (see photo) I would like a full refund and would advise NOT buying this product. ... show more
