I got this battery because I wanted to use it with my my pontoon boat. Alas, unlike a truck or an RV that may have a rear-camera pre-wire system already available, no such options were there for my pontoon boat. I suppose I could have spliced into my boat trailer's wiring system to get power, but I'm concerned that I would have electrical or corrosion problems down the road, since I launch my boat/trailer into a marine environment. So my only good option was to power this off a battery. Fortunately Haloview makes one comparable with all of its camera systems, and it works well. The battery lifetime is more than sufficient for any trip I'd ever take, with plenty of capacity left over. A twist-lock connection to the electrical cable is all that is needed, and with a magnetic mount plenty strong to stick to anything steel, this battery isn't going anywhere. The battery works excellent with the camera and the magnetic back makes it easy to mount to steel surfaces. Battery runtime is also very good allow extended operation of the camera.

    • Overpriced, but does work well
One star taken off for value, but the product itself is 5 stars, so far. Quality is good. No concerns about durability. Seems to be overpriced given what it is, but unless one fabricates or adapts something else, this seems to be the only plug and play option.

I wanted a camera in the bed of my truck to help with hooking up our trailer, but did not want to go through the work of adding power. This battery is the perfect solution. I took this battery and a camera and mount it on a metal stake behind the pad I'm to park in. Between the Trailer mounted camera and the camera on the metal stake, solo parking is as simple as it is going to get. Invaluable setup.

Pretty easy to install, and charge. Sales page indicated up to 16 hours run time for the camera, but I found that it only looks like it was good for 8 hours. Got this so I could use the backup camera on a FL trip until I had time to hard wire power for the camera. The battery pack appears to be of good construction.
