  • Good but not as sturdy as reviews say
This is a great product for most things but using a Sony a6400 with sigma lens maker it a bit heavier and to have the stand all the way extended make it wobble so be careful with your camera. There is a ball at the bottom And a red twist meant to tighten at your desired position that I feel works against the tightness of the stand below it. I feel like I tighten one to then have the other come loose. This has been useful if you find tha right height where it is stable for your camera. If you’re trying to use it as a desktop stand it’s a bit to high at it’s shorted level. I’ve just bought a desktop clip mount for this reason ... show more

  • Good
I thought I was missing a part when I received it, I emailed the company and got no response. I found the part but no one responded so I didn’t tell them that. It’s good use as long as you don’t have any trouble with it when you get it you’re probably great! I like it.

  • It works and it won’t break the bank
The media could not be loaded. I added video of me zooming into the photo. I was taking my Z7 on my first hiking trip. I was using the new monopod and I’ll be the first to admit, I wasn’t sure the monopod would be up to the task. I needed a monopod for my 600mm lens. This photo would’ve been incredibly hard to capture handheld. The monopod exceeded my expectation and proved to be very instrumental to my gear bag. It was compact enough to store away in the side pocket of my camera backpack, but it was sturdy enough to handle the weight of my lens and my arm forcing the pole into a sturdy position when pressing the shutter. My only input is that the threaded screw could have a snap lock or reverse twisting plate connector. Also I think the legs on the bottom could use a reverse spring to add more rigidity to the legs. It’s not enough to negatively effect your photography. Overall I would rate this as a very well suited monopod and give it 5 stars. I’ve no doubt there are probably more expensive and better suited monopods that meet my above mentioned criteria, but I am of the notion that cameras and associated tech are already expensive, no need to spend a fortune on accessories. ... show more

  • Great monopod
I picked up this Neewer Monopod to replace a generic basic one I had used for years. The old one served me well, but the head finally cracked in half forcing me to retire the unit to serve as a spare tent pole. I was sad to see it go until the new one arrived. Then I was sad the old one did not die earlier. The Neweer Monopod collapses to a shorter length, is sturdier, and is much more flexible. I added a ball head to make a complete system for just about any purpose. I thought the small tripod foot would be useless, but the fact that it has a ball attachment allows me to secure the base regardless of the terrain angle or composition. Admittedly, the tripod foot is heavy (that's why it is so sturdy), but you can easily remove it and replace it with one of two other foot configurations. Overall, this is a fantastic bargain for anyone looking for a monopod. ... show more

  • Great for the price
Good product - great, maybe, for the price (I paid approx $45 at the time). I’ve used it several times, its easy to adjust, seems durable, and sturdy for my Canon EOS Rebel T3i. It won’t balance the camera with the heavy/longer lens on it but I didn’t buy it to be totally hands free - I keep a hand on the camera or the stand all the time. It does the job of steadying my hand so I can focus on the shot. I should’ve bought it long ago. One note about the carrying case/sleeve. It’s slightly tapered so the monopod only fits in it one way. It’s a little stretchy so you might think you can make it fit but it can rip so don’t try. ... show more

  • Made one change to it
I'm using this with an Insta360 One X2, not a full size DSLR so it is working great with this monopod. I did make a "slight" modification, I reversed the ends so that the wider portion of the monopod is now at the feet and the thinner end is attached to the camera. For my use, I wanted more of the "heft" of the monopod down at the base with the hope that it will be more stable on its own without me holding onto it. No, I would not trust my DSLR on this in a hands free situation. But for giving me the flexibility of using a monopod instead of my clunky and heavy tripod in certain situations, definitely! ... show more

  • Worked perfect!
Very lightweight and fit nicely in my day pack. I purchased it to glass mule deer on a hunt. Didn’t think that I would leave the feet on but worked awesome. The swivel base made it very easy to glass mountain faces at multiple elevations. Quick and easy to adjust height. I mounted Vortex Diamond Back HD binos to it. Perfect. I would purchase again ... show more
