The fabric is stretchy, and while it isn’t extremely forgiving on its own, it is fully lined and the ruching provides the forgiveness needed. For reference, I’m 5’1”, 125 lbs, and 47 years old. While my body isn’t quite as smooth as it once was, you would never know it in this dress. The cowl neckline holds my 32Gs in well, which genuinely surprised me. The straps are thin, so I will reinforce them with a few tack stitches for extra security. The open back with lace detail is subtle, elegant, and very flattering.
