I’m not to big and got a medium, fit well and straps allow for tighter compression if needed. I would admit it can bundle up a bit and be a bit uncomfortable the tighter you apply.

My father has knee problems and after walking a while his knee will start shifting and cause more pain. But this brave really helps a lot. He says the sides have a reinforced lining that keep his knee straight. Also cushioning and comfortable. Easy to wear.

After years of trying to find a well made knee brace, I found one sub 100.00. I bought this one, and the one NEENCA makes without the X strap. Both feel well made, and are fairly comfortable. I've had both of them for about 3 weeks now, and after the first few days, have gotten used to them and how to adjust for me. My right knee is the worst of both, so the X strap gets worn on that one, sans X strap is on left knee. Both braces hold position well, with very few readjustments for slipping having to be made. I'm on my feet and moving around all day at work, so not having to stop to re-fasten and adjust every time I turn around is welcome. The only real issue I have now is the amount of heat they retain, granted it is summer weather so that is a factor to consider. They work well, won't break the bank, and I'd recommend these (with or without the X strap). I really hope they hold up for a long time.

My wife twisted her knee getting out of the back seat of an SUV and was in a fair amount of pain. The doc was going to wrap it in an Ace Bandage, but when I showed her the brace she said that will work. She said it was more than she needed but it was perfect. I would definitely recommend it!

If you are post surgery and your muscles are gone, order the size recommended for your healthy and normal size leg. Possibly order the next larger size as well, because your PT efforts should eventually help you grow your muscles back to normal size. Then you’ll need the bigger size. These do run small, but there are multiple adjustments. This is NOT an athletic injury level product, just for rehab and light exercise. If you need injury protection, just spend the money at your Ortho office and get what you need. Overall I am impressed with the quality, comfort and value of this product, given the info above.

It was very easy to put on and off very comfortable and your knee doesn’t get all sweaty. The biggest problem with this knee brace is the sizing if you had surgery on your knee and you have been trying different knee braces for a couple of years this brace may not fit right due to muscle mass loss. Your thigh may measure at the point they say to size it but the problem is it too big for the lower part of your leg and doesn’t fit around the knee as well as it should to provide the support and stability that a person is looking for.

I measured brace accordingly and got the correct size. The brace seems well made. The metal brace along sides digs into areas on calf and thighs causing bruising and pain. It also did not seem tight enough around knee and cap areas to support it. I do not have fat legs but athletic. I wore it 3 days but could not take the pain from the bars. It also is very hard to get off when it gets very sweaty and hot. Moisture does not wick off as suggested. I don’t think a bigger size would change the issue of the bars digging into legs. Maybe if they were shorter or better padding. This brace could work for others.
