The first 10-15 miles were fantastic. Fast, stable, quiet. Then the front hub motor started making a loud howling sound anytime i put the throttle above 60%. Felt like the front motor would turn off and on intermittently. It would stop in 1 wheel drive mode, but used a bit more battery and was substantially less power of course. The accelerator ceased working several times and wouldnt re engage until i stopped and fiddled a min and it would unexpectedly come back. The brakes started making a loud noise and vibrating on the second evening. I rode it for 2 evenings a total of 40 miles and had enough issues i had to return it. I was very excited, sadly i cannot recommend. ... show more

This electric scooter delivers top-tier performance, but it comes with a few specific trade-offs that buyers should consider before investing. Performance & Ride Quality: The top speed is exactly as advertised. I can reach 43 MPH easily, and at full throttle, the acceleration is incredibly powerful and takes some getting used to. The suspension setup is excellent. Riding in New England means constantly dealing with poorly maintained roads, potholes, and unexpected bumps. While the impact is noticeable, the suspension absorbs the rough terrain effectively without losing stability. Portability & Form Factor: This unit is exceptionally large and heavy, weighing in at 90.4 pounds. If you have a slighter frame, maneuvering it in tight spaces will be a challenge. I initially intended to fold it for vehicle trunk storage or carry it up stairs, but its physical footprint makes that impractical. Lifting is made more difficult by the lack of a dedicated, secure handle on the rear of the chassis; lifting from the trim does not feel safe. It can get stuck on small bumps, and you will need to put some muscle into lifting it, or getting momentum. For an urban commuter, this functions well as a primary car replacement, provided you have elevator access or live on the ground floor. You are not carrying it up 3 flights of stairs to your apartment. Controls, App, & Features: The smartphone app functions well and unlocks deeper customization for lighting and audio alerts. However, the cruise control feature is buried in the app menus rather than having a dedicated physical button on the handlebars. Activating it while traveling at high speeds on busy roads can be problematic, as wind noise obscures the audio confirmation beep. This feature works best on smooth, dedicated trails rather than standard commuter traffic. I would love some sort of haptic level feedback in the handlebars. This would be a killer feature that would help with sound. The physical turn signal buttons require very deliberate pressure to engage, which can be tricky when riding with gloves. The thumb throttle is highly sensitive; starting in Sport Turbo mode requires caution to prevent the front wheel from lifting. As a first-time scooter owner, finessing the throttle required a tight grip that caused temporary wrist fatigue during longer sessions. Additionally, the advertising indicated compatibility with the Google Find My network, but this feature is currently unavailable and marked as coming "soon" via an asterisk on the website. Range & Accessories: At 6'5" and 220 pounds, riding aggressively in Turbo Sport mode yields a real-world range of approximately 50 miles per charge. While this is lower than the advertised maximum of 74.6 miles (tested under ideal conditions), it is entirely acceptable given the speed and riding style. The scooter does not include rearview mirrors or a smartphone mount, so you will need to source stable aftermarket options that won't shift over bumps. The built-in deck hook is sturdy and easily holds a lunchbox or small bag. Styling: The gold is definitely unique and stands out. I could take it or leave it personally. I think I prefer the styling of the UT5 Max, but that specific model lacks the features of the Ultra X. Verdict: Riding this scooter is like riding a horse. The physical feedback of riding a high-speed vehicle like this can leave you feeling physically tired after a long session due to natural body tension. When properly managed, the mechanical performance is outstanding, but buyers should respect the learning curve, weight, and operational nuances. (Video review will be added by 6/1/2026) This is the scooter you have been dreaming of! Mr. Sandman delivered with this lighting fast rip stick of a scooter! I'll do my best not to write a novel here, maybe short story length at worst. I was concerned the scooter would require assembly, however once it was removed from its impressive packaging all I needed to do was raise the handlebar into position! This thing is ready to go within minutes of shedding its carboard shell. Let's start with the aesthetic, shall we? Until my video review is added, FEAST YOUR EYES ON THE IMAGES I INCLUDED! The black, red, and gold colorway is unique in the world of scooters. I would expect to see this combination on a high-end sports car, so you will definitely get attention while riding this beautiful monster. CLAWS IN THE AIR! The chassis itself has unusual design elements that give the vehicle a futuristic look...and use opposing colors which makes the features POP! I weigh 265 pounds and I am 6'1". The size of the deck allows me to ride with one foot in front of the other, surfing/skateboard style, or I can ride with my feet side by side like someone on a crowded train. You do you boo! The lighting system onboard is a thing of beauty...it must be seen to be believed. You can change the lighting theme in multiple locations around the chassis to get the VIBE you are looking for. Maybe you want to match the lighting to your outfit or perhaps you want to rep your favorite basketball teams colors. VERY COOL FEATURE! I've ridden MANY electric vehicles, some have okay applications if you're lucky, but most are horrifically bad. It pleases me to tell you that the NAVEE APP passes muster with flying colors! First, the app is modern looking and loads immediately. In addition, when you make a selection, it is immediate, no hamster on a wheel buffering! You can customize your horns sound from a traditional horn, howling wolf, duck quack, and a few others I'll leave for you to discover. I'd like to see them update the app so customers can add whatever sound file they want!!! I won't go into all the features here, that is what my video review will cover, but let's just say it gives you complete control over the vehicle. It even has cruise control! The digital display is magnificent....large and multicolor! You won't need to squint to see your information during the night or day. Once you learn what the symbols mean you can learn a lot about your status with a quick glance. NAVEE could have thrown in something smaller and cheaper and got away with it, but they insist on doing what is right for their customers and I truly appreciate the attention to detail. The build quality is outstanding! The steering column/stem is a chunky piece of rigid steel, no gives or wobbles to this at all! I live in rural WV, so I've ridden this thing off road, up and down hills and on pavement and its never backed down. No matter what terrain I tackle, the deck is rock solid and that is a crucial element especially if you are a bigger rider like me. Since I'm not what you would call a "gearhead", not by any means, but I'm getting there slowly...I'll quote the high-end features of the scooter that I believe deserve a spotlight because very few companies include even half these features: 12" Self-healing Tubeless Tires: I own electric unicycles and changing tubes in the tires is a challenge to say the least, so I am overjoyed they insisted on a tubeless tire. Dual Hydraulic Suspensions: You can make adjustments to these depending on your preference or environment with a quick adjustment. I've gone over small jumps and off curbs with this thing, and it soaks up all the impact...simple incredible suspension. Front oil disc + Rear oil disc: This equals better control and insane stopping power that dissipates heat quickly! ABS Braking: Prevents you from skidding because it keeps the wheels rotating when brake is applied. Regenerative Braking System: Recover energy used during breaking which gives your batteries a mini charge (up to 15-20%!) Looks like I knew a little more than I thought! YAY brain! The turn signals are a great feature and highly visible. The headlight is powerful, but I do wish it was adjustable. If I could offer a couple suggestions: 1) The horn volume needs to be louder. 2) Allow the owner to upload their own sound files for horn. This would be a feature that would really make NAVEE stand out. 3) The vehicle has a speaker, so why can't I play my music through it? If you look at my photos you will see a blue bag I strapped to the turning stem, that holds my speaker because I must have music when I am rocketing around. Please NAVEE, give us use of the speaker or update future versions of your products. Trust me, people want this! 4) Change brake cord orientation because they sometimes cross in front of the lights. I understand why it was made this way, but surely a new routing method can be developed. While I haven't had this cooter to MAX speed, as I'm still gaining confidence, I can tell you the acceleration on this baddy will put a smile on anyone's face. I didn't notice any change in stability at higher speeds which helped my confidence when I first started riding. As you will see in the video review, this scooter can take on high degrees of incline without struggling. Having the power to do this was something I insisted on having when I was shopping for scooters because I live in a rural mountainous area. Personally, I find this vehicle to be priced fairly especially when you take all the features into account. You may be able to find something for a little less $$$, but you won't get the stylish, uber-car chassis, large full color display, or effortless application that includes tracking and Bluetooth locking features! Navee really made a BIG impression on me with the UT5 Ultra X and I cannot wait to see what they offer the public next (please be a EUC or Go-Kart!). ... show more

I'm incredibly impressed with the Navee UT5 Ultra X. It truly lives up to the 'supercar' branding; it’s well-designed, sturdy, and the powerful scooter hits speeds of almost 45 mph. Even at those speeds, the ride is remarkably quiet and stable. What really sets it apart is the app; being able to set cruise control and adjust the startup speed to 0 mph (no kick-start needed!) makes it so much more convenient than other scooters.
