I was looking around at a lot of rooftop tents to fit on short bed of my Ford Maverick Hybrid. I narrowed down to this one and the expensive i tent which they say is popular. When I compared features of both, the Naturenest was half the price with well thought out features and pretty good reviews. The biggest feature that won me over was the electric panel with LED lights out of the box. It did take a little involved wiring to route cables from my portable power station to the tent on top of the bed but I am so glad I got it working. With it, the tent is like a capsule hotel room. No more headlights and you can stay awake as long as you want. I even work on my laptop with a laptop stand I bought. They also provided another LED strip that mounts on the outside which is very nice to light up the area around the vehicle when it gets dark and you want to cook or do other stuff. I was thinking the tent will hang out a little outside the tail end of Maverick bed but it fit perfectly with a 2 inches to spare to clear the radio antenna. The bed rack I bought to mount this on gave me some headaches but I was able to eventually mount it securely. Naturenest customer service is excellent. They have a dedicated team for Amazon customers and Ms Flora from the team was very eager to help me solve the issue. The tent is very well made with heavy duty material everywhere. I like the four windows with double zipper openings which are very easy to operate and have a setup where you can let as much light and outside air as you want or completely close it out. It is pitch dark when you close everything and are ready to go to bed which is nice. Mattress is a little firm and takes a few days to get used to but it's pretty good and the inside area is nice and comfortably good for two adults. I have been using this RTT for more than a week for a road trip and it has performed well as advertised. One night it was raining the whole night and the tent stayed completely dry inside. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to set up and close down. The only part they can improve on is the ladder which could be a little smoother. The sections are loose. Some friction would make it better. Excellent rooftop tent. Love that the inside is lined in black material. It keeps it nice and dark inside in the morning. The only thing so far I have not liked is the ladder feels very flimsy.

La verdad esta tent no me salio bien llego quebrada, y en menos de 6 meses se quebraron partes interior y exterior, se oxidaron los tornillos y la parte para abrochar se oxido en poco tiempo, pedí que me ayudaron y la única solución volver a comprar otra, la uso para campar, y solo la abría para poder dormir en mis viajes y ahora resulta que yo la quebré, acá les dejo fotos ... show more

This is my first experience with a mounted tent. The instructions are not for a beginner DIYer. Depending on your rack, you may have to do some modifications. If your using a low profile rack, purchase an extra extra long open end 10mm wrench. If your using a Hooke Rd rack, or any other rack that doesn't have keyslots drilled on both ends, drill some key slots on the opposite end of the slats that already has the key slots made. If you wish to mount a canopy without removing the tent, you will need to do this. Or virtually any thing on the opposite side. If your wanting to use a mounted shower, it wont work with the sirius model on the same side the tent folds out on. If your using a canopy on the opposite side you will have to modify the shower otherwise use a pop UP tent. The tent itself is great. Fairly roomy. Completely seals off the world. I purchased mine with the annex. Great move for me. I dont have the canopy yet so the annex provides me my privacy and shelter from the weather. The tent kept me adequately warm down to the 30s. I purchased the liner and at -5°, I was still comfy in my bed with two wool blankets. I will get a heater though for next year. ... show more

Two things, the tent, and the Customer Service; I’ve been camping for 3 months now, having tested the Sirius Plus in every condition, this is an incredible, high-quality, resilient tent. I’ve been in the Rocky Mountains from Montana and Idaho down through Wyoming and Colorado, in all types of weather, and this tent has kept me dry and comfortable. I had one small issue and engaged with Customer Service, I was lucky enough to get paired with Flora, she was prompt, professional, and solved my small issue quickly, so I also need to mention the customer service will keep you happy. Digging the tent so far. It is blacked out on the inside. Makes sleeping in very easy. Fast set up. Only complaints are the latches don’t seem to be enough. One bent right away but they rushed a new one. Also the under body dents easy. I put extra padding where the ladder sits when closed. Noticed two indents day one. Also added zipper extensions. Makes zipping much easier. Need to open all windows when closing to get the air out. Helps with keep sleeping bag in the tent when closed. Overall happy with it. Update: amazing customer service. Sent out a tent basically because of a broken zipper and some seam issues. Very responsive and will be ordering again in the future. ... show more

A couple of times I ordered a roof top tent and both times it took my money and I've wanted 2-3 months with no results, luckily Amazon credited my card the full amount. I later found out they were China companies, probably scammers. I've ordered from China through Amazon before and never had an issue. I saw on YouTube about Naturnest, so I gave it a try. I'm so happy I did. Day after my purchase, Naturnest rep emailed me for my phone number, they wanted to make sure I knew when it was delivered. Wooden crate packaging, no damage, very well protected. It arrived in 2-3weeks, have not tried yet but love the when I inspected on my garage floor, the roominess and mattress pad were awesome ... show more
