Nice and light weight, allows for plenty of light to filter through (if you don’t have lighting over shower this is a nice feature). The material seems to be the same quality as other shower curtains that I’ve preferred in the past. As for being water resistant, I am not sure as this was a gift for my father and he has yet to let me know. (He, as well as myself always use actual clear shower liners so the water resistance is not something that is that important). My father called after hanging it and said it looked really pretty. Don't expect a nice fabric curtain, but this definitely does the job well, very waterproof, and looks nice. It also comes with white plastic loops to hang it on the rod, which makes it a significantly better deal. They're not cute, but they function great and really disappear honestly.
