Description
This Natural Chemistry cover free is an advanced mono-layer technology that helps save water and money by decreasing evaporation. It reduces water evaporation by up to 85-percent and reduces heat loss by as much as 70-percent. Invisible barrier that conserves water and heating energy. Helps conserve hundreds of gallons of pool water. Excellent surface tension helps product remain in place. pH is neutral. Recommended dosage are 4-ounce per 20,000-gallons of water or 667-square feet per week. It can apply using the measuring guide on side of the bottle and squeeze recommended dose over the surface of the pool water. Surface tension allows cover free to remain in place or reform during swimming. Includes 12 cover free container per pack. Comes in 32-ounce container.

My third year with this product and it works. My pool is in direct sun all day so mid season there is no use for it but the beginning and end it’s a must. Temperature holds much better with the cool nights and less evaporation. Very easy to use.

This is an excellent product and I use it regularly to reduce water evaporation and increase temperature a few degrees (2-5 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on sun and weather conditions). I pour the product directly into the skimmer as recommended. I have not noticed any negative effects in more than two years of use in my 40,000 gallon vinyl pool, with sand filter, and chlorine generating salt cell. I have noticed the thickness of the product change overtime. Initially, it was a thick milkshake consistency. Now it is more like chocolate milk. There seems to be a bit of variability, but I do not notice there is an impact on utility. The pool is at 2000 feet and the night’s cool off even in the summer. I have definitely noticed more steam rising from the pool at night in the times that I am not using the product. This amount to a quarter or even a half an inch of water loss depending on conditions. The product seems to reduce that by at least half. Saving water and making it easier to keep the pool in balance chemically. I ordered several bottles In the past, they all arrived taped up. One time I ordered two, neither taped and both leaked. Update: I have continued to order this product. I have not had the leaking issue occur a second time. The bottles generally all arrived taped.

This is a product I have used for a couple of years. It doesn't maintain the temp perfect but I do see a difference when using it. Don't expect to put this in and have you pool not lose any heat...it will reduce the heat loss but not eliminate it. We normally keep our pool around 82 in the later summer/fall months and if we don't use it we lose about 4 or so degrees on a cool night. If we do use it, maybe we only lose a couple. I think it works good enough especially in those in between months to help reduce heat loss and save your heater or keep you pool a bit warmer until the sun can do it's job. Overall, not bad but cheaper than others and does okay so worth it to me.

I've used this product for three weeks and I have my pool filler on a device that measures precisely how much water I'm adding. So far there is no obvious change in water usage, certainly nothing dramatic. Of course it is hard to be certain since temps and wind are highly variable so unless you have very consistent weather and do some back to back trials it would be hard to isolate the effect unless it was very dramatic. Really in terms of water loss my water costs $0.005 per gallon so at current retail prices the 4 floz weekly addition for my pool costs $3 so that would require saving 600 gallons of water over the week or 85 gallons per day. Given my daily average usage right now, with ~100F daily temps is about 100 gal per day I would definitely have noticed that kind of savings. At best I think it could be a few gallons per day. As for temperatures again it is really hard to isolate changing daily temps from any effect this might have but thus far I don't see anything significant. The only really positive thing I can say is this product is undetectable when added to my pool. No sheen or oil feel like people have said. I'm pretty certain those people must have added the entire bottle at once - i've definitely read a few reviews where they mention adding multiple doses and even 16oz at one go. If you're adding more than recommended you're definitely just wasting product for no added benefit. If you add the correct amount to a 400 sf pool the layer will be 3 microns thick. Literally a few thousand or so atoms thick and atoms are very very small.

This doesn't work well at all. I didn't expect it to be as good as a plastic cover, but this one really didn't do much. I lost 2 degrees with the plastic cover the night before I used this. The first night that I used this I lost 5 degrees. The second night I added more product thinking that maybe the initial dosing wasn't enough. Nope. I lost 1 degree before 11pm. I'm not sure how much I actually lost overnight since I left early in the morning before the pump turned on, but the end of day temperature for day 2 was well below what I was seeing with the other brand of liquid cover. I saw steam coming off of the water both mornings, something that I didn't see with the other brand. I also saw a rise in my filter pressure with this. My clean filter pressure is 10 psi. My filter was at 11 psi when I added this, and then it went up to 13 psi right away. It went up even more when I added the second dose. I have a Hayward cartridge filter. I won't be using the rest of this bottle and will need to figure out how to dispose of it safely.

I am surprisingly shocked, but this stuff does work. My temps are staying up 4° higher so far and it’s been four days about. Here in Florida we have an unseasonably cold front recently and decided to try this out. Knowing how my temps are historically I can definitely say that this stuff does keep the times up a few degrees higher than running without it.
