  • Removes the hassle of solar covers and more effective
Size: 32 fl oz (Pack of 4)
If I could give it 6 stars I would. We have a sunk in12x24 oval pool. After investing in multiple solar cover and the roller I was still having to vacuum a mess of debris and bugs in my pool besides dealing with storage and having to put the covers on and off. I tried the liquid pool cover and that has helped save on heating my pool in spring and fall as we live in the midwest. Using natural chemistry pool chemicals for maintenance and their liquid pool cover not only removed my white mold problems but have been game changers to making my weekly maintenance and daily pool use effortless. Also recommend the enhulk pool vacuum as that was my second best pool investment. ... show more

  • It really works.
Size: 32 fl oz (Pack of 4)
My third year with this product and it works. My pool is in direct sun all day so mid season there is no use for it but the beginning and end it’s a must. Temperature holds much better with the cool nights and less evaporation. Very easy to use.

  • Understand what your buying
Size: 32 fl oz (Pack of 2)
Look. The product does what it says it does which is retain the heat in your pool. It does not raise the temperature. I wasn't sure what to expect so I got it to try it out as our pool heater is currently out of commission. I've used it for about 2 months and here's what I can say: When I use the product I notice that my pool maintains temperature much better. I seem to have a consistent temp of about 84 when I use it, morning, afternoon and evening. When I don't use the product I get up to 84 but usually I start the day about 80 and slowly work my way to 84 by about 6pm....then the temp slowly drops back to 80 overnight and repeat. So from my 2 month experience, it does retain the heat much better then if your not using it but don't expect miracles. It's not a heater and it's not going to generate heat...but it will retain heat better then using nothing. Again not a huge amount....about 3-4 degrees. But it's something. For some people that may br enough and for others it may not be. My only wish was that it was cheaper. 1 bottle will get you about 3 applications (we have a larger inground pool). If you apply it weekly like it says that's 3 weeks of usage. ... show more

  • Raised water temp by ~2 degrees
Size: 32 fl oz (Pack of 1)
We have an irregular-shaped pool with a small deck surrounding it, so using a pool cover is difficult, and we don't have a pool heater as we live in central Texas. I read up on liquid thermal pool covers and thought I'd try it. This stuff does work as advertised. It will keep the temperature about 1-2 degrees warmer than normal. Even in early spring, when it got in the 50s and low 60s at night, the pool temp would be in the low to mid 70s in the morning. It would be a cold swim but adequate for workouts as you don't get overheated. Currently, the daytime temps are in the upper 80s and lower 90s and the water temperature has been 86 in the morning, reaching 89-90 degrees in the afternoon. It's actually too warm for exercise swimming so I've stopped adding the liquid cover for the summer, which has brought the temperature back down to mid-80s. A couple of key things to know: use the liquid cover weekly to ensure there is enough coverage and turn your pump off (or at least on low) during the night, as that is when the cover prevents heat from leaving. Obviously, the liquid cover doesn't stop debris, animals, or insects from getting into the pool but if you just want your pool season to be a bit longer, this is perfect for helping to retain heat. It also means you don't have to use your pool heater as much, if you have one. ... show more

  • Easy to Use, but Long-Term Results Are Difficult to Measure
Size: 32 fl oz (Pack of 1)
I picked this up for our backyard pool in Florida, where evaporation can definitely be noticeable during the hotter months. The product is very simple to use. You just measure the recommended amount and pour it directly into the pool, so there isn't any complicated setup or additional equipment required. The bottle includes clear instructions, making the application process quick and straightforward. The liquid dispersed easily once added to the water, and I didn't notice any residue, oily film, or changes to the appearance of the pool. It also didn't affect the feel of the water while swimming, which was something I was curious about before trying it. I appreciate that it can simply be added as part of normal pool maintenance without creating extra work. The biggest challenge with reviewing a product like this is that its primary benefit is difficult to measure in everyday use. Weather, temperature, wind, sunlight, and how often the pool is used all influence water loss, making it hard to say with certainty how much of a difference the product made on its own. Because of those variables, I can't confidently claim that it significantly reduced evaporation during my testing period. That said, I liked how easy it was to incorporate into my regular pool care routine, and I experienced no negative effects from using it. If you're looking for a simple product that may help reduce evaporation as part of an overall pool maintenance plan, this is easy to apply and well packaged. Just keep realistic expectations that its effectiveness isn't something most homeowners can easily verify without carefully tracking water levels under consistent conditions. ... show more

  • Does not prevent significant temperature drop
Size: 32 fl oz (Pack of 2)
Let's face it. A solar cover is a nuisance putting and and taking off, especially when you have a large pool. When the cover life ended, I decided to go with a liquid cover, understanding it would not retain water temperature like a solar cover. There are many factors to consider: night temperature, dewpoint, wind, and water temperature. With these factors, it is difficult to determine how well the product is working. I can only go by past experience with a solar cover. Typically, a solar cover on my pool would keep the pool water with 3 degrees Fahrenheit. I started using the liquid cover the past few weeks and easily lost 6 degrees a night. (84 to 78). With a solar cover, I would estimate end up dropping no lower than 82. Again, this is knowing the weather conditions, the pool, and experience with a solar cover. Is it worth it? I suppose it is, assuming nothing in the water would probably drop 8 degrees versus 6 degrees. If I go through a bottle a month, that's a bit over $100. Perhaps that alleviated my pool heater cost (heat pump). But I haven't looked at the numbers. Just understand before you buy this is not as efficient as a solar cover. ... show more

I had my doubts but this product really works. So much easier than putting a solar cover on and off.
