The Forest Beekeeping Supply Natural Canvas Bee Jacket is an upper-body beekeeping jacket for men and women; pants are not included. It arrives with the round veil hood attached and includes one pair of size-matched goatskin gloves. The hat-style round veil holds its mesh in a full circle off your face, flips back between hive checks, and unzips fully. A Forest Beekeeping Supply fencing veil, sold separately, is designed to zip onto the same jacket. A brass front zipper, elastic cuffs and waist, one chest pocket, and two lower pockets complete the jacket. Available in sizes S through 2XL. For care, remove the veil, machine wash the jacket, and air dry.

This was my first jacket purchase and this was great for the price. It will be a jacket that I will use when it's cooler for sure. I live in Alabama and our summers with the humidity are brutal! I've found a light weight jacket for the summer months, but at three times the cost. This is a very well made jacket and it keeps you from getting stung etc...I read another review and they wrote, "I've tried six different jackets since I've been in bug control and this is the best one I've found." Well, I'm a newbie but I'm happy that I didn't have to go through five other jackets to find this one. It seems pretty true to size as well. I would by a size up just for comfort...you will be wearing this over other clothing. I have a larger frame and I bought the 2x. It fit fine, but I would have bought a size up for a little wiggle room! Sadly their jackets only went to 2x, but I can't complain. It still fit fine, even in the arm length, which is something I always have a problem with!😁 I gave it 4 stars because of the heavy fabric, but if it was winter while I was writing this, I'd probably give it five stars. I am a amateur beekeeper with only one hive. I've used this jacket for 2 seasons and it still closes well, it also has no tears. Zips easily. Good visibility when hood on. Never been stung while wearing it. The material is thicker than other bee suits I've worn so you will find it "Hot" to wear when it is hot outside. This is a sturdy jacket. Great metal zipper! No plastic on this thing. The only negative thing is that when you turn your head the hat does not turn with you. The head of my beekeepers club said put a ball cap on it helps. I have long hair so it wont work without a ball cap for me. I wear a large but got an extra large and glad I did. There's no strain on the back when I reach forward. The elastic is snug but not too tight. I purchased a full suit that really sucks! The zipper was plastic and the mesh kept touching my face. This one does not. Super happy with this purchase. I've used this twice not and am so happy with it. I put my hair in a pony tail and pull the hat over that. It's held firmly on my head that way. I wear a L and purchased an XL. No pull in the anywhere on the garment when I bend or reach. Very happy with this buy. ... show more

    • Looks Nice but the Fit Was Too Tight

I personally liked this beekeeping jacket because of its appearance and how it looked in the photos. The design looked really nice and the material itself seemed decent. Unfortunately, I ended up returning this product because the opening where your head is supposed to go through into the veil was extremely tight. It was such a small opening that you really had to force your head through, which made it uncomfortable. If you do not properly use that head insert portion, the veil does not stay in place correctly. The wrist area was also very tight since I ordered a small size. 3 out of 5 Stars - Reasons: Nice appearance, but the head opening and wrist areas were too tight and uncomfortable. ... show more
