I use these outside to "screen in" my small back porch. which is just about the size of four 48" x 84" shades. They work very well for privacy, if I don't light the porch too brightly. They are not real privacy shade so you can see what is going on, on my back porch if it is dark and the porch is too brightly lit. They work very well for sitting on the porch during the day time. Now I can leave my back door open, screen door shut and get a feel of nature and still not have people looking into my house. Quality is good, so far, except for the "child protection" feature which I disable with cable ties. Since I use these out doors, I have to be careful to roll them up at night in case it gets windy or rains. I have noticed some discoloration on the wood bar at the bottom of the screen once they got wet a few times, probably from rusting or corroding metal fasteners to attach the bar to the shade, so will find a way to seal those, probably with wax or hot glue so they won't rust. Much less trouble than screening my porch in would have been since my main concern in doing so was privacy, not bug control. Recommended. ... show more

had a terrible time trying to figure out how to put in the string.No paper to tell you how to string it,i have bought others and i did not have to sting it ,it was already done.This one took us hours trying all ways,till a friend told me to try youtube and it was a blessing.this company should either pre string them or send a paper with instructions. This is very pretty. We use it as a "door" on a pantry. My only complaint is that when rolling it up and down the strings tend to move down the rolled part. Once it came off the end. Very pleased, well made, actually quite heavy. Negative is a very strong chemical/dye odor which was very noticeable (even with the outside use). Would not have been able to tolerate this chemical odor if I would have used it inside of my house. One plastic hoop/guide that the cords go through broke after about 10 uses but it was easy to loop it through the metal hanger because it had a metal loop which was actually where the plastic was attached. Don't know why they just don't use the metal loop in the first place. The curtain weight is simply too much for the plastic. Fortunately,it was a very easy fix. ... show more

I am very disappointed with this blind. The blind it self is nice looking but not made very well. Every time I try to roll the blind up or down the ropes fall apart from behind the shade no matter how many times I reattach them they do not hold and the blind falls apart. For the money this cost I expected better quality. I now have to leave it in the down position all the time it is useless for what I thought I was getting. I have only had it for about a month or two this makes me so angry just can't get what you pay for any more. ... show more
