First I wanted to buy a saddle style stool with a cow skin pattern, but I couldn't find a decent one and then I noticed the swivel feature adds enough value to switch to this and sit on a cushion which adds more comfort. We're very happy with this purchase. I bought 5 more to fill the kitchen Island. Now it's comfortable for a stool, but remember you can't sit on a stool for a long time and expect to be comfortable, it'll start hurting at some point. Assembly was easy. The shorter and longer woods that act as bridge gets tricky some times and I mixed them one time. They can fix that to be less confusing. After sitting on them for over three months now, it gets squeaky and you have to tighten it again. But overall it's a great buy. If it was around $60-70 per piece or had a discount for buying more, that would be ideal. Recommended. ... show more

Bought two of these stools for our apartment, ended up with four. Long story. Pluses: they look really nice and are reasonably comfortable. SOlid enough build for what you pay for them (with a few cavetas). Assembly was simple enough, but be careful how you install the crossbars. They don't really specify this in the instructions but If you put them in with the cutouts facing to the side, the screws will end up busting through the side of the leg a) damaging it and b) poking you in the hand. This will also result in the crossbars eventually wiggling loose from the legs and the stool will get wobbly and break underneath you. So instead, install the crossbars with the cutouts facing the floor; this puts the screw through the thickest part of the leg and makes sure that everything is nice and tight. Also, this should go without saying but don't put too much (any) weight on the crossbars. They are SUPER brittle and snap really easily. For what it's worth Nathan Lane customer service is amazing, when my crossbar snapped they sent me a whole new stool free of charge (because you can't replace just the crossbar I guess). Overall pretty decent little stool for your breakfast nook or whatever. Good value for dollar, easy to put together. Just be gentle with it, this isn't like the rolls royce of furniture. ... show more

Purchased three stools, wanted simple, clean design, comfortable, and fit under counter nicely. Construction seems good, the material covered tops are new, but, seem well made. Assembly straight forward. First two stools were perfect. Third might have been made on a Friday; the holes for cross braces were in correctly drilled on one pair of legs, and the bottom of the legs didn’t have the proper protective buttons (though, there were additional ones provided). Contacted Customer support, worked with Leyla, very polite, good customer service skills - She could not send me a replacement leg piece, so she sent me a whole new stool. She followed up to make sure that my replacement order was acknowledged, and then followed up that the replacement stool was delivered. I bought 3 of these bar stools and they were nice at first. I agonized for months over what bar stools to buy until I decided on these. I was so excited when they arrived, but then they started breaking. I haven't had these for more than a year and the support dowels broke off two of them within a month of each other. After trying to fix it with a whole new dowel (because they broke in half) the new dowel broke off too. The design of how the dowels are attached to the legs doesn't allow for a strong attachment. I am so frustrated with the waste of money and time I have put into these stools! Plus, I wanted to buy the design without a cushion, but they were never available.
