very easy to set up however, you tighten it too tight it might be lopsided so just be wary. they are very cute in my kitchen and inspired me to get more Nathan James products. I feel comfortable sitting on the stools and they are strong

as a designer I’m quite impressed by the high-end look and quality of these stools at this price point. The combination of soft, natural tones and mixed materials - smooth/subtle wood grain, woven back, textured upholstery - create a beautifully balanced, elevated look that would work seamlessly in almost any style interior. They feel sturdy and were super simple to assemble. The 1st took me about 15 minutes (including unpacking and instruction review), and the 2nd was done in under 10. For the price, you’re getting designer-level style and quality that’s hard to beat - a fantastic choice for any kitchen island or counter space. ... show more

    • Solid and comfortable, and stylish too
Color: Warm Pine/Boucle Size: Counter Height - 1
You should know that there is a fair amount of DIY to put this chair together, but since that is disclosed in the ad, I wasn't shocked. I really like the look and quality of this chair, and I have purchased two. To be fair, the first time I bought it, I thought it was a 2 pack, so to my surprise, it was just one chair (for the price of what I thought to be 2). Despite my flub, I kept the chair and later ordered another after deciding it was worth 2x what I thought. It's substantial and comfortable, goes really well with my decor. ... show more

Fairly easy to put together. I only gave 4 stars because the fabric isn’t ideal for a home with kids. I assumed that before buying them, and still did it. Just know you will be cleaning them!

    • Real Deal
Color: Warm Pine/Boucle Size: Counter Height - Set of 2
After shopping around I ordered a pair of two and a single. I decided to spring. The extra $60 bucks on these over other aesthetically comprable options on Amazon. Then they arrived. The quality of materials and build far exceeded my expectations for an “Amazon” product. After encountering an issue I was immediately connected to a lovely human who sat on the phone with me and helped me ensure I had purchased the right size for my counter, guiding me through measuring and getting me what I needed next day. AND also sent a super thoughtful "thanks for your patience" detail a month later. This is the type of product and service that I was convinced went out the window years ago with fast (everything). I will shop this brand from now on. As someone who works in fashion and lifestyle, I own and have sold high end designer pieces that do not compare in quality of materials and construction. I would recommend shopping Nathan James over the big home decor and furnishings retailers any day! ... show more

Look of the chair is adorable, quality of the purchase is off. I have been sent the wrong color chair twice. I have been sent chairs where the cane is either damaged or clearly has been repaired. I’m not sure if this is an Amazon issue, or a Nathan James issue.

I’m in love! When I added it to my cart, the color was listed as “brown/white,” but after I purchased it, the name changed to “light beige.” I was so worried it wouldn’t be the same as the photo, but it turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. The chair is gorgeous, sturdy, and honestly looks way more expensive than it was. The seat is super comfortable too, despite some reviews saying it was hard. My husband put them together at night, and the next morning I woke up so happy seeing them in my kitchen. Even more beautiful than I expected. Highly recommend! ... show more
