They're comfortable especially once you get used to them. Sounds negative but honestly I was used to cheaper knives but these cut wonderfully and arrived very sharp. I like the magnetic board a lot as it reminds me to clean and dry them right away and looks great. I haven't had to sharpen them yet but the way they're holding their edge they'll sharpen well. The knives are professional grade, sharp as can be and beautiful. Fit my hands well and just makes cooking so much nicer. Only issue is the base. The steak knife portion comes off (which is a plus), but it is not evenly spaced when set on the rest of the base. Symmetry should matter. Other than that it's worth the money. Just don't forget to only handwash these knives so they last! ... show more

I've been searching and reviewing knife sets for sometime, and I finally decided to get this set 15 piece set. The knives are awesome and the blocks look great. One thing though, the Damascus steel is visible in the blades, which have a Samurai sword like sharpened edge, which are both cool, only the steel is not as dark as depicted in any of the sales pictures of any Damascus blades I have seen. I didn't honestly expect the blades to be that dark, and fan only surmise that they do that to show the steel pattern better on screen, maybe? ... show more

These knives are REALLY sharp and well made. BUT- one of the steak knives has rusted along the edge in a 1 inch area. I always was careful to hand wash and dry before putting them in the block but it apparently didn’t matter. Hands down, best set of knives I've ever owned. I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous cutting with these things because they were so sharp. Can't tell you how often I nearly cut myself because I'm so use to basic everyday knives. These will cut through nearly every food like it was butter. Best money I ever spent.
