They are expediting a new bike to me and their follow-up has been great. Very good starter/basic ebike, VERY good value once properly adjusted. First the CONS: Did not receive the cable lock initially, had to contact Vanyu multiple times until they sent the lock finally. To assemble, you will need a socket set to loosen and tighten bolts properly since a phillips head screwdriver is not adequate alone. If you are not familiar with bike maintenance and adjustments, you may struggle with assembly and necessary adjustments to get the bike to function smoothly. Now the PROS: The ebike works amazingly well for the price AFTER proper fine tuning and adjustment of the brakes and derailleur. I was able to do these adjustments because I have been riding, maintaining and adjusting my own bikes for 25 years and have the necessary tools and equipment. If you are not satisfied with the smoothness and performance of the ebike after assembly, you should take the bike to a bike shop and have them do the necessary adjustments to get the most out of this bike. Once properly assembled and fine tuned, the bike has been performing amazingly well for my uses as a street only commuter bike. The battery range has been adequate, the power and speed using the different PAS settings have worked very well. It is IMPORTANT to go online (search for LCD-P9 Hand Control Panel Operation Instruction) to get the instructions on how to program and use the LCD display to set up the electric portion for your preferences. Unfortunately, the bike does not come with any info on the control panel . Straight out of the box, I would have been disappointed with this bike. After adjusting the parts and programming the LCD panel, I am very satisfied with the performance, functioning and value of the bike and would highly recommend this bike for a starter ebike and basic transportation. I don't anticipate upgrading to a better bike, since this bike does everything I need and I don't have to worry about the bike since it was so inexpensive. I would recommend this bike with knowing the above caveats and warnings Hope this helps.

The bike is what you would expect for the money. Low-end E-bike that is a lot of fun to ride. The pedal assist and throttle become unresponsive or less responsive the longer you have the bike. The battery connector is what has broken on 1 of our bikes after 6 months. This falls under the manufacturer's warranty but good luck dealing with these people on the phone. The female I spoke with was the rudest incompetent person I think I have ever dealt with. This could also be attributed to her being extremely lazy as she didn't take my name or file a claim or even look up my order. The bike is great, but the people selling it suck. Hard pass.

My dad loves to ride bikes, but as a disabled senior citizen, he has difficulty riding long distances comfortably. He spent a lot of time walking his last bike up hills, which lessened his enjoyment. We got rid of that bike last year because it was rusting through. I wanted to replace it with a pedal-assist model for Father’s Day, but the prices made me nearly faint. I found this one but hesitated for months: not a brand I know; not many reviews that sounded good; not many good reviews of bikes in general at this price point. Given my father’s age and usage level, though, I decided to take the plunge and get it. Virus-related shipping delays meant that I had to print a picture of it and glue it into a makeshift card, but Dad was thrilled by the prospect of riding again. When the bike came, I was tasked with assembling it, and as I am by no means mechanically-inclined, I did more than my fair share of cursing and spitting as I worked on it. It took me days to get the brakes right, and I felt bad for him that I’d bought this gift he couldn’t use. I gave it one last shot, grabbed a wrench and gave it a go—and got it. I put the key in, turned the bike on and tried it out. Wow! I was flying along our street. I actually wondered if it were too powerful for him! When Dad got on, he was a little nervous, just because things were different. He soon got the hang of it, though, and when he did, he took off. He rides every single morning now and loves that he has help going up hills. He jokes that he has a little motorcycle, just because it’s got some speed to it. I don’t know how ebike purists or hardcore bikers would rate this cycle, but Dad loves it, and that’s all that matters to me. It’s easy to operate, powerful, highly adjustable and—bonus—looks great. I’m glad I got it for him.

The look of the bike is 5 stars. However, the assembly instructions were vague, difficult to follow, and weren't for the bike I purchased. The electrical system did not work at all. After checking all the obvious connections for damage, opening up the compartment with the controller to find that there are loose wires, I found it was simply a blown fuse, ugh. The loose wires are for plugging the pedal assist system which was not actually included, unfortunately.
