This plastic washboard is a good size for small items. It fits well in the bathroom wash basin. The ridges are a good size and distance apart. The back is reinforced well, to prevent breakage. I used it today to scrub a Robot re-usable wet-mop pad, which is quite textured and stiff for mopping. There are no marks or scratches left on the washboard. I prefer not to wash the mop reusable pads in the same machine I wash my clothes in, and opted to hand wash one each day after mopping, and then air dry. I found that they are not too difficult to clean, but require a bit of scrubbing, which was making my fingers ache. After lots of searching for a solution to scrub the wet-mop pads without damaging the loops, I bought this small plastic scrub board that is advertised for small items, and hand-washed one today. It got the pad clean in a fourth of the time, with no impact on my hands or the washboard. I am very pleased with this washboard, it’s performing very well. ... show more

I purchased this specifically for travel and the size and weight are perfect. When my husband and I travel overseas, we don’t always know if we’ll have the convenience of a washing machine or a laundry service. So, to cut down on the amount of luggage, I’ll bring laundry soap and we’ll wash socks, underwear (gasp!), tank tops, t-shirts, etc. in the sink or tub. But, to have a little washboard like this makes me feel like we’re doing a better job of getting these items clean.     • Gets the Job Done

I bought this little washboard to help me out with the washing of my cloth diapers, which I do by hand about every 3rd day or so. It works great for that! Have no doubt it IS a "mini" board, but despite that it has performed well. The size is actually just right for the bucket I use and the diapers themselves, I mean anything bigger would just be unnecessary. The only time the size becomes an issue is when I try to prop it up on the side/edge of my bucket. It's short so it tends to slide down just a bit when I start scrubbing and sometimes I feel like I'm going to snap the plastic right in half. It would be a full 5-starts if they added a little hook edge to the top of board so that it could catch on something and help it to stay in place better. Overall I definitely recommend this for something like cloth diapering or for traveling with. But if you're going to be doing laundry by hand for whatever reason long term or in heavy amounts, I would go with something more full sized. ... show more

This washboard definitely works, but it isn't the best. It is small which is mentioned in the details. I wanted something small so that I can use it in my bathroom sink. It definitely cleaned my son's socks with the help of zote. It is a bit flimsy and slips. I ended up buying a small wooden one that is working out better for me. If you need to save space and want it just to wash small things every now and then it will probably be fine. It is handy for face masks if you need to wash them more frequently than you do laundry. For hand washing anything small, this is a tremendous help! Small enough to fit in probably any sink (we use it in the bathroom), it's super handy and works great. The old-timers knew what they were doing when they developed the original wood versions decades ago. Very useful.
