Really impressed with this tarp. But should have researched more and should have purchased directly from MyTee instead of through Amazon. The exact same tarp cost a lot less ordering directly from MyTee. I will be ordering another one...but not through Amazon.

I couldn't be any happier with this purchase. I just put them up, they look great, and are seriously heavy duty. I'm hoping they will keep the pollen from the southern pines out of my screened porch and keep it warm in the winter. I plan to take them down during the summer months. I put them up by myself which was a chore. I recommend having a helper with the 8'x20' size just because of the sheer size, weight and awkardness of maneuevering into place. Out of the box it was folded very tightly and really difficult to get apart as it was stuck to itself from the static cling. Again, a helper would have made this chore a little easier. The material seems really thick and durable. Not sure how you would rip it unless it snagged on something sharp. If you're looking for a DIY alternative to Isinglass then I would recommend this product. I hung it up using some small vinyl-coated, screw-in hooks. I priced getting a professional, custom made set but when I got an estimate, it was over $4,800. I'm all in for less than $500 with this product. One 8'×20' and two 8'x12's covered my entire porch perfectly. Obviously not quite as nice as a custom made set but good enough for me given the huge savings. I have just hung the tarps so cannot really speak to their durability or sturdiness. The appear to be substantial and think they will pass the test on both these qualities. However, I have a complaint about that I think is important enough to write about. The grommets were not evenly spaced at all. They measured from 20.5 inches to 24.5 inches and never a two the same distance from each other. No rhyme no reason. I know there are disclaimers, but really, placing grommets should be standardized and not so random. One other problem, but your disclaimer said it would be so. I purchased three 8' X 12' tarps. Two came at 12' and one came at 11' 8''. So, not crazy about the craftsmanship of the tarps, but the clear tarp materials appears excellent. ... show more
