Husband said they were easy to install. We are very happy with the blackout effectiveness. They look nice and are easy to raise and lower. I will lower from the top most often, thus maintains our privacy while still letting in the light. I am not tall enough to reach the top comfortably and would have liked a reach extender to be included or at least an available option but I am sure I will come up with something. The only negative I can think of is the material on mine seems to be a bit more paper like than fabric as was stated in the description but it feels heavy duty and we are so pleased with the overall product we didn’t even consider returning them. Tried purchasing cut to fit shades from the two big DIY chain stores. It suffices to say both had the shades and the cutting machines but neither had the staff to help us so we wasted our Saturday, gave up and went home empty handed. I recommend you skip the store and order from Amazon and do something you enjoy on Saturday. I ordered on Sunday, they arrived Monday while and the next Saturday we slept in (in the dark). These were exactly the same price as the cut to fit roller shades in the store we were considering and are much better looking with the additional top down feature. Now I am glad no one was available to assist us at the store!

I received and installed the blinds 3/4 days ago. So far I am very happy that I decided on this brand. It's early in this marriage so only time will tell. I ordered two at 43×72. Inside mount. I'm very happy with the way that they fit. Both boxes had slight damage but the blinds were fine. Installation wasn't bad. Just take your time, think and you'll be fine. The saying is, Measure twice cut once. I need one more for my living room. I will be updating this review as I use the blinds more often. As for now I could not be happier compared to what I had. Thanks, good luck and take care.Update. Just finished installing the last blind that I need for the living room. Dropped off buy U.P.S and in great condition. Thanks. Installing was just as easy as the first time. The Quality seems to be the same. No regrets as for now. Exactly what we needed. These shades are easy to install, look great, and really do block light transmission. From the outside, even with all the lights blazing and the TV on, there is no light visible in our windows.

I just installed these shades and it was fairly easy for an older lady, lol. Anyway they fit perfect. The only thing I don't care much for is the shiny strip at the top. That seems to make them look cheap otherwise they look great!!
