  • Fantastic device for baseboard heaters
Style: Electric Baseboard Heaters V2
Recently purchased a condo where the heat is all baseboards (6 of them). It had old rotary dial Cadet thermostats. I found Mysa as it had good reviews and would be accessible and controllable via internet. I bought 3 to “try it out”. Also they are a tad expensive, but if they did as advertised then it is worth it. Mysa makes installation simple with its very complete and easy to understand and follow online manual. Had the first one running in about 20 min as I was cautious. The other two took 5 min each. Very attractive on the wall. Connectivity was simple. Longest time was allowing it to download updated firmware. About 5 min total. Their APP is intuitive and easy to use. The thermostats show up right away. I set schedules and can monitor the actual room temp plus what the set point is at. After 3 days it is nice to wake up to a warm room without having to get out of bed 30 min before to manually turn on heater. In a few weeks I will get 3 more to complete the house install. Also MYSA has a sense of humor in their documentation. This is a good find. ... show more

  • Easy install & set up, double-check your wires
Style: Electric Baseboard Heaters V2
It looks nice on the wall and the technology is very intuitive. Good app, integration with Alexa & Homekit, etc... Its exactly what I needed to set a programmable schedule for my new basement baseboard heating system. And the smart home integrations make it really convenient and easy to control. The only issue I had at installation time was around which wires go where. I should clarify I'm no electrician but have installed dozens of basic light switches, outlets and other similar devices. From the instructions it seemed straightforward: two white wires to the red and 2x black to black. Unfortunately, I got no power when I did this. I then realized the specific black wires matter and are not interchangeable. Switching them did the trick and we're now operational. ... show more

  • Great customer service
Style: Electric Baseboard Heaters V2
We bought 2 units for in wall heaters in our log home in MT. After much searching we were glad to find a highly rated wifi enabled product that would work with individual wall heaters. Installation was easy but we had trouble pairing once installed and Mysa customer service was truly exceptional. Devon worked with us diligently for 2 days until the issue was resolved - a network issue on our end. He even checked next day to see the 2nd one worked. We just ordered a 3rd one! ... show more

  • Bought 6. Work fine. Usability to improve.
Update: Several months later I have 6 thermostats installed. All for 240V baseboard heaters. Cold temperatures have started, so here is an update. The overall functionality is great. I like the quick overview I get for my house. Scheduling is easy too (UI could be better). Here is my updated wish list: 1- This is my top request: Brightness of the faceplate should depend on the ambient light or at least be programmable depending on the time of the day. I have one unit in a bedroom. I want it 10% bright during the night so that the bedroom stays dark. However at 10 or 20%, it is barely readable during the day. 40-50% during the day would be great. Same problem in other rooms. You could easily have sunrise and sunset hours from my zip code. 2- I would like to see an indication on the faceplate when the heater is on. On the phone app, you see some sort of flames. Suggestion: Instead of displaying the double arrows that have no meaning when not in setting mode. I would rather want to see the upper arrow on when the heater is on. Or maybe a plain upper arrow when on? 3- Maybe less important and more for educational purposes, it would be great to have an outdoor sensor that could be showing outside temperatures on top of the energy charts. We could see how fast or slow the different rooms react to external changes. Maybe we could improve some insulation, door opening or closing, window curtains,... Even build some smart logic depending on the outside temperature. If the sun is strong, don't bother pushing for too much heat. In other words, if it is cold outside, my house will cool down quicker. In this case the heating should be pushed for maybe one hour more. But if it was warm, then the heating can be stopped sooner as it will decrease much slower during the night. You could also dream of having the overall scheduling depending on the weather forecast for the day... 4- Scheduler program could have a chart summary/overview for the week for better readability. It looks like they now have shortcuts that address my quick on/off use case. Although I have not tried that against the scheduler. Is all the programming removed? The overrides are working nicely against the scheduler. We have all the room set to a low temperature at 10:30pm. So if we override a particular room in the evening and forget to turn it down, it goes back to a low temperature at night. Good. ----------------------------------------- Original Review: They are easy to install. They work just fine. They do look at lot more stylish that the old fashion ones I had. I like the clearly visible (and dim-able) temperature display. I really like the estimated energy cost estimation. That's very educative. However, I wished they made the following improvements: 1- I would like to see an indication on the face place when the heater is on. On the phone app, you see some sort of flames. Suggestion: Instead of displaying the double arrows that have no meaning when not in setting mode. I would rather want to see the upper arrow on when the heater is on. 2- There is no quick on/off function. At this change of season and going into summer, there are days where I just want to turn them off betting that the sun will warmup the house soon. I feel silly to turn them down to 64F. I just want a quick way to turn them off, but they should still display the temperature. When turned off, they should be off scheduling. Of course they should have an indication that they are on or off at the face plate (something instead of the bottom arrow?) and on the phone app. 3- It is not clear how schedules and overrides work together. I definitely want them to go low at night, but if I decided to bump up the temp during the day, who wins? I have to test more for that one. ... show more
