I had become dissatisfied by my Kevo lock. I saw an ad for this product, and since I was open to change, I checked it out. It had some credibility with me due to my experience with my myQ enabled garage door openers with which I have had good performance and no problems. I took the chance and ordered one. Great decision! The installation instructions in the app were the best I have experienced for any product I have ever purchased. It is clear that the installation support was developed by a customer-centered person with the assistance of engineers, not written by engineers (who know the product too well and naturally think customers know these things that are so obvious to them). Installation was easy. It worked first time. Setting up the users on the app was also easy. Picture quality is excellent. Connectivity is great. (I have awesome Wi-Fi, BTW.) I love that there are 5 different ways to open the door. It is reliable so far. (A couple of weeks.) I will definitely continue with this product line for my future lock needs. ... show more

I love having the smart lock, video doorbell, and camera all built into one device, instead of needing multiple separate products. The 2K HDR video quality is clear, and being able to see who is at the door from my phone is incredibly convenient. The different access options, including fingerprint and face access, make getting in and out quick and easy without always needing to carry keys. I purchased the MyQ Smart Lock primarily for its advertised fingerprint and biometric features, only to discover after installation that these features do not work in Texas. The lock itself is well-built, the app is easy to use, and the video quality is good, but one of its main selling points is unavailable where I live. What is most frustrating is that this restriction was not disclosed on the Amazon product listing. The information is only mentioned in fine print on the manufacturer's website, making it easy for customers to miss before purchasing. If fingerprint and facial recognition are important features for you, be aware that they are disabled in Texas. Had this limitation been clearly stated on the product page, I would have chosen a different smart lock. While the lock functions adequately with PIN codes and app access, I feel the product description does not adequately communicate a major feature restriction that affects customers in Texas. Started using the myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock for about a week now and it is one of those upgrades that just makes everyday life easier. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once it was set up, everything has worked smoothly. What really stands out is how many ways there are to unlock the door. The fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate and the app control is super convenient when I’m not home. Even though I haven't yet used the the PIN or the face access features, I am looking forward to using these features for future guests. I love the built-in 2K camera. The video quality is sharp, even at night thanks to the color night vision, and the two-way audio is clear enough to have a quick conversation with someone at the door. I like being able to check in and see what’s going on without opening the door or even being home. Overall, it just feels like a well-thought-out product. It combines security, convenience, and smart features without being overly complicated. Although I was initially upset that this lock is not compatible with my Google home device nor apple home or Alexa, I am impressed with the easy operability of the lock, camera, and it’s app. It is easy to install, set up, and use. I was so impressed that I have just ordered the accompanying chime speaker and two of their indoor cameras directly from them because they are having an amazing sale right now. A friend of mine recommended these to me after I moved into a new house and I’ve had 2 of these locks for maybe 4 months now and they are absolutely the best of these smart locks on the market. I’ve only charged them once in that time which was maybe a few weeks ago and the app let me know when they were getting low on battery. I have a lot of people in my household so having these locks is amazing for when I know everyone is out of the house and I want to be sure that the doors are closed and locked, and if someone forgot to lock them then I can just lock them from anywhere. I also like that I can make a code for someone to use to come in when we’re away to watch the dog and know whenever they come and go. The build quality is better than anything else I’ve used as its made fully of metal and feels very secure. I also like that I can use the keys if the batteries died and that the keyholes are hidden, which hasn’t happened yet but makes me not worry about having to charge them all the time. After having these I also bought some of the standalone cameras to watch my dog in the backyard and the driveway and it is awesome having all of that in one app and accessible to everyone in my household. Buyer beware. If you live in IL or TX, you can't use Face ID. Its apparently some ridiculous state law in those states. For some reason, I also can't use fingerprint access because "its not available in my area". That's a big feature set that I can't get. The video and audio are good, but really disappointed that I can only open it with a key or a PIN. And don't bother with Chamberlain/myQ's AI - all it knows how to do is refer you to a telephone support line. BTW, the Kwikset lock that this one replaced DID support fingerprint access. Installation was very easy and using the myQ app you can even get easy to follow detailed installation videos. Setup was also easy and so far it appears to be a quality product. I would give it a higher star rating except it needs to be highlighted that if you live in Texas not only can you not make use of the facial recognition but you also do not have access to fingerprint unlocking either. If you live in either state I strongly recommend you save yourself a chunk of money and buy a model that has only the pin unlocking feature. ... show more
