  • if you love the “we shouldn’t, but we can’t stop” trope? You’ll be in heaven. if you love the “we shouldn’t, but we can’t stop” trope? You’ll be in heaven.
Format: Paperback
Reading My Fault was like being strapped into a rollercoaster that never slows down messy, chaotic, addictive, and impossible to look away from. I went in expecting a tropey, fast-paced romance, and what I got was a heavy dose of emotional drama with a side of morally questionable choices and a big, glittery bow of forbidden love wrapped around it. Let’s talk about Noah a girl who’s been through it. She’s tough, sarcastic, and a walking vault of trauma. You feel for her, even when she makes decisions that make you want to scream into a pillow. She’s been forced to grow up too fast, and there’s a real ache in watching her try to figure out where she belongs in a world that’s tossed her around more times than she deserves. And then there’s Nick, her new stepbrother. He’s that classic bad boy: tattooed, angry, reckless, and emotionally unavailable until he isn’t. The sexual tension between them is undeniable, the forbidden aspect only adds fuel to the fire, and while some of it felt over-the-top, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t devour every angsty, drawn-out, tension-filled moment. It’s messy, sure. But if you love the “we shouldn’t, but we can’t stop” trope? You’ll be in heaven. Now, full honesty: This book isn’t for everyone. (BUT IT WAS DEFINITELY FOR ME) It has problematic elements emotional manipulation, unhealthy relationship dynamics, and trauma being used as plot fuel a little too casually. As a woman, I cringed at some of the normalization of toxic behavior. But I also understand the appeal: it’s raw, heightened, fantasy-level dramatics that speak to that chaotic part of you that loves hard and falls harder. This is not a book that tries to be “literary” or polished. It’s a vibe. And sometimes that’s exactly what I want a book that burns fast, leaves scorch marks on my feelings, and makes me want to throw it across the room only to pick it back up five minutes later. If you’re in the mood for a hot mess of a romance with a strong female lead and a dark, broody bad boy, My Fault will give you everything. Just go in knowing it’s going to be messy. ... show more

  • Enjoyed It
Format: Kindle
I watched the movies first not realizing they were based on the book. After watching both versions of the movies I decided I wanted to read it. It’s better than the movie. 😊

  • I cant wait for book 2!
Format: Kindle
Okay so let me start off by saying I’m literally obsessed with Nick & Noah!! I love them so much! So I’m gonna be honest, I did watch the movie first before I read this, and I’ve literally seen it so many times since it came out. I usually never read the book after watching the movie because I get lazy and just forget even though I say I’m gonna read but I actually went back and read because I wanted to see how the differentiated between the two. I honestly prefer the movie than the book in my personal opinion just because I think it flowed better. The book was good don’t get me wrong I just felt like it was a little all over the place but that could honestly be due to the translation maybe I’m not sure but I did enjoy this very much. I will say it was so easy too picture what was happening because I watched the movie first! This may be a little spoiler so fair warning but I do prefer the parents in the book over the parents in the movie but the ending in the movie was wayyyy better then the ending in the book in my opinion, I thought it was so much cooler than the one in the book and if you’ve seen both you’ll know what I’m talking about. If the story book wise flowed better I most likely would’ve given it 5 stars but since it was a tiny bit all over the place I’d give it 3.75 stars. The movie definitely gets 10/5 stars lmao I’m so obsessed with these two! Now that I’ve read book one I’ll have to try and find books 2 & 3 on wattpad to see what happens next! ... show more

  • A Fun and Engaging Read!
Format: Paperback
"My Fault" was such an enjoyable read! The story pulled me in right from the beginning with its witty humor, relatable characters, and emotional depth. The chemistry between the main characters is undeniable, and the plot has just the right amount of twists and turns to keep things interesting. It’s a perfect balance of romance and real-life struggles, making it feel both heartwarming and authentic. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a feel-good book with a bit of drama and a lot of heart! ... show more

  • Missing some book ingredients
Format: Kindle
The story was good but could have been so much better. The issue of incest was brushed aside and should have been a major factor in them getting together. The reason i say that, isn’t because i’m against step sibling relationships. I, personally, have no problem with it, but it provides a wonderful taboo element, which I would have liked. Having said that, I DID take issue with the age difference. Even though it is only 5 years. the fact that she is only 17 makes it a much bigger deal. I would have preferred she was of legal age or that they were the same age. I felt there was too much dialogue and not enough scene building. There were a few glaring grammatical errors - saying “Noah” when it should have been “Nick” - at least in the ebook. And lastly, the prologue eludes to a future falling out, but it never comes to pass. The book ended with a HEA. Why even have a prologue if it isn’t a part of the book? So strange. The only reason I will be reading book 2 is because I know the plot. If I wasn’t aware there was more to the story, I would have believed it a stand-alone. ... show more
