I love the smell of this candle. It seems to work pretty well. It is quite a strong smell. My friend said that he really does not like the smell of it. I love the citronella smell, so I really enjoy it.

I love these for the way they keep bugs away and because the smell is nice. I love the brand and that they are well made in the USA. I do not like the price (generally) and shop around to find the best deal. Amazon is able to offer them at a good price point and if you have Prime, shipping can be free, so that's worth it to me. Love these for our deck any time, but particularly when we have a cookout or family party. They work well and smell better than plain citronella. Great seller, timely arrival and packaged well. We have bought these as well as the bug spray. They smell beautiful unlike some other bug sprays. They repel mosquitoes in southwest Georgia and they don’t have harsh chemicals.

These candles work as advertised to keep the mosquitos away although if it's too windy they are not effective which is to be expected. Not effective against flies in case you were wondering.

    • Nice Smelling Candles but Unsure About Effectiveness

These candles smell really nice, with a natural mix of citronella and essential oils that is pleasant and not overpowering. I like that they are made with clean ingredients and do not have that harsh, chemical scent some bug candles do. The tins are sturdy, and they burn evenly for several hours, which makes them great for setting the mood during outdoor dinners or relaxing in the yard. They give off a cozy, natural fragrance that I actually enjoy having around even if the bugs are not bad. That said, I am not entirely sure how effective they are at keeping mosquitoes away. I have still noticed a few bugs nearby even when the candle is burning. They might work better in smaller, more enclosed areas or when used in multiples. Overall, I like the way they smell and how they add to the outdoor atmosphere, but I am not convinced they make a big difference for mosquito control. ... show more

OMG these candles smell so F’ing good, I got them all around the hot tub and they are great -ok they may repel mosquitos too, who knows 🤷🏼♂️ no mosquitos lately so I’m happy, but mosquitos are missing out these candles smell so good 😂
