I needed a mount for my Renegade and I didn’t want to drill any holes in my dash to mount it. The back piece on this provides enough space to slap some strong velcro on it and stick it to my dash. Hasn’t budged since and I never have to worry about my handset being out of reach.

I used this to mount my UV-5R to my lawn tractor so I could use it with my headset. Holds up well with the vibrations. Didn't move at all after a few hours of non stop nowing on rough terrain. (I use the radio to listen to music and for emergency calling. It's better than a cell phone where I am.)

It's about the only extension CB mic holder out there. There are 3 articulation points for a varirty of positions. Drawbacks include a so-so plastic base (it can be somewhat shaped for placement contours, but don't stress it too often as the plastic will start to split) and the articulation points are good, but it would be helpful if they articulated a little farther at the ball & socket articulation point. ... show more

While I did like this mount and the quality is good it doesn't fit for my application. I would have been able to use this but the ball & socket was exactly opposite from what I needed. Still 5 stars on quality & timely shipping.

this is a versatile way to mount your mic without spending a ton of money. excellent value for the money. i was able to mount it right where i wanted it with no problem. adhesive is excellent!

    • Does not grip the mic well enough for off road use
I really like the design of the unit but the receiving part for the mic (gmrs midland) in my case does not hold the mic with any force. if I mounted it on my dash and went off road it would fall out on the first big bump. I will be returning it.
